What have you done to your MS3 today?

Took it to the track Sunday. Very, very disappointed. 14.4 @ 99 was my best. I feel like those are stock numbers. And I'm not really stock anymore. Only saving grace I have is knowing everyone had crappy numbers from the day.

What are people running with around 280whp?

Methinks the 2.0t is from the EVO

Nevermind...I. read the block was very similar but not identical. But that probably means that the aftermarket for the smaller turbo engine is better than for the V6

When Hyundai first came to the US, they were using a Mitsu designed engine, but they have had their own designs for years now. Not sure what the similarities to the EVO engine could be other than displacement, bore/stroke, number of cylinders, firing order, etc. I think any similarities would be coincidental.

what was your 60'?

mid 13s @ 102-106

60's were dreadful. I could not muster any better than a 2.4/2.5. I hate that track. Guys trapping @ 125 were running low 12's.

How are you guys launching? I know revving the nuts off it will only yield wheel spin. So much higher than 2500 RPM is useless to me. I was running about 20 psi in the tires. Dunno.

I believe the motor is the same base casting as the Mitsu, but it has cast internals instead of forged and probably some other small variances

Got my shipment from Redline today for an e-brake boot and armrest, I'm really happy with their product! I got some padding for the armrest, made the install a little tougher, but feels good on the elbow.

put new plugs in today, the old ones had orange tips? I don't know whats that means.....

Yeah Man. That electrode is bent from the heat. Get a colder set of plugs.

Also, the next time you take a close up, set MACROS to on. Your photo will come out much better.

^That pic was taken with a cell phone (a Samsung Solstice to be exact.) Unlikely it has a macro setting.
Some camera lenses can't focus that close up anyway....

It was JUST a suggestion. I know I learned the hard way about MACROS. Thought I might save you, or Tronspeed the trouble.

Ok, I see.

Did some looking around. The ThetaII Hyundai engine is, indeed a GEMA product, but, like all GEMA motors, the intake and exhaust are tailored for the specific manufacturer (Chrysler, Mitsu or Hyundai)

The only EVO that has used a GEMA designed motor is the EVO X (2007+ with FB11T).

Thanks Wiki!

Just waisted 200 dollars on a detail. He got all the overspray out but missed some on my side and pretty sure he didnt even touch my front bumper.

The list of everything that was suppose to be done.

first the time was 6-8 hours he finished in under 4.

pretty sure he didnt clay bar since I found black tar specs all over. just vacuumed the interior, no steam cleaning. and just missed so many parts.

I thought I was just paranoid but this just adds to my "Do s*** Yourself" I just dont trust others to do things, even in school with group projects. People are just retarded.
