Ya, I'm picking up a set of coilovers this winter. After that, it's the acquisition of an engine stand and a KL. Will be my first teardown/rebuild. Stoked to get it started.

yea....so i was looking at kl powered cars, and the probe that comes with the KL, (probe GT) is insanely fast when turbo'ed
there's multiple people running 400+ whp on probetalk lol i may have to sel my engine to fund a built KL

Yup, they hold boost way better than the fs-de. From what I've read, up to around 350-400 whp, the only weak point of the drive train is the connecting rods. Toothpicks like the fs-de. And apparently the valve springs could use to be upgraded.

milly rods solve that issue cheaper than aftermarket forged rods.....

Every version of the KL has different parts from IM, pistons, heads, cams, valves, springs, rods, crank and the list goes on and on.....

Ya, I've been reading up on the different versions. Lots to take in. And I've got a long way to go, lol. I may direct some questions your way down the road.

I am not the expert but I have been reading up for months planning out. I learned alot once I actually started playing with 2 of them but as far as reading I recommend hitting the probetalk and mx6.com. mx6 had some good info mixed in and probetalk has alot of good info and even more idiots but not bad all in all. lots of experiance over there an a link will be comeing your way....

You can ask way. not gaurenteeing I will know the answer but if I do not know it I know where to find it. But as far as plans get lost until she is built and runs Sorry.

You do anything special for winter storage? Do you pull it out on nice days, or is it in for good til spring?

Storage is an hour out of town, so no I won't be taking it out. Gave her an oil change, a good bath, took out the battery, filled up the gas tank and put in some fuel stabilizer.
