What have you done to your MP3 today???

I need a camera.. I`ll grab my cousins' tonight and snap some pics of my car (for the other thread and this one.. whatever..)

I know how that goes. You need to have at least some latex gloves, or latex gloves with Mechanix gloves over them..lol!

I actually bought a whole can of latex gloves. I use them when changing oil, but I dont like to wear them for a long time cause it feels like my hands are sweating on the inside, and they tear easily after a while. While doing the clutch I did wear mechanics gloves, but I got some oil and stuff on them, and sometimes took them off for those hard to reach areas. They are still not totally clean, but alot better then on a few days ago.

Also, the main seal was not bad at all to change. I delicately used a screwdriver to get the old seal out. To put the new one on you just center it and make sure the little edges go inside first so that the seal doesn't turn inside out, and once it is set all around you can just gently tap it in until it is fully set.

The whole clutch job was not bad, the worst part was to get the transmission out and then back in. It was my mistake in not taking out the passengers side axle in the first place, once I did that it went in no problem. Another problem I ran into was getting the pilot bearing into the new flywheel. Since it is aluminum the actual hole is smaller, and so the bearing is in there a lot tighter. It took me 3 days because I was working on it on and off. I will try to get some pics from my phone on later today.

Just finished installing my Stainless Steel Goodridge brake lines that have been in my trunk for about a year and a half.....

which will be my first install on my msp when i get it in a couple. and a clutch line, and a short shifter. i'm not going all out on this. just making it more daily driveable for my tastes.

picked up some 2 gauge battery cables, and better terminals...OMG what a difference in idle and overall drivability it made..

I wired up my ipod interface behind the dash, surprisingly it works with the iphone:

Finally installed my grounding kit after a year+ of it sitting in the garage. I'll probably be putting on my recently acquired 4-2-1 header this weekend too. Need to finish cleaning it up and get the heat wrap installed.

my cars going in on monday...while its in, im paying extra to have a new bumper put on, emblem holes filled, and a crease on the trunk fixed...

and i have to get the car fixed, because thats the only way i could get the full amount from the insurance..they wouldnt give more than 2200 in a check

Installed my new Braille 15lb racing battery today with mounting bracket. Bought it used from Linuxracer. I'll get a pic tomorrow or Friday.

ghetto ram air

So I got bored last night and decided to go waste $17 at Home Depot on some ventilation ducts. Took me about 10 minutes to "install" and I think I do notice a difference on the highway. Sounds a little deeper too. Stronger pulls from 35+ in general (maybe). And the engine doesn't feel like its starving for air in the top of 3rd gear anymore, that's for sure. I'm thinking about moving the inlet into my fog light opening so its not quite so ghetto-fab, but we'll see; I don't think this will be very permanent. Anyways, this is what I used: (1) 3" adjustable elbow, (1) 2ft section of 4" rigid dryer venting, (1) 4x3 reducer coupling. I would like to try a large inlet that would maybe sit inside the bumper in the opening between the fogs, but space is limited in there. ideas/flames are welcome :D

Here's some low quality pic's (with my camera phone)
