What have you done to your MP3 today???

Please PM the guy, this thread is not to serve any purpose except to write down what we've done to our MP3s recently.
Speaking of which, went back to stock taillights...I'd forgotten how nice stock ones are.

I`m getting her out of the ice tonight! nice warm day, been spending lots of time melting the ice.. oh boy oh boy am i exited!! Attention CulRidr you`ll see a twin going by a light speed!

ok.. well we all know that our cars are far far away from light speed.. but hell it will be way fucken quicker then my old Jimmy!

I blead the breaks, changed the oil, cleaned the filter and painted the calipers.. i forgot how awesome this car is! and now it looks even better without all the rusty calipers!

Ok, so I got under the hood of my car, and found a couple of things:

1. I believe I have a fake-ass HKS SSQV. I applied pressure to the intake track, using this, and found that right away the BOV was leaking. I have the screw all the way loose, so I tightened it, until I couldn't hear the leak anymore from the BOV. The only worry I have now is that maybe it won't respond and open as easy as it should, and would send surge back toward the turbine blades. Bottom line is that I need a new (AUTHENTIC) BOV. I'm considering getting this one: Synapse Engineering SB001

There must be a spec on how tight that screw is supose to be no? I've got no experiance with BOV`s but I imagen that the are somewhat ajustable to your needs. Like if you`re pushing 6psi it needs to be looser then if you`re pushing 14psi.

A knock-off lasting nearly 4 years is pretty impressive, I think that's the only way you can spin this positively. Did you pay "full retail" for it at the time?

At the time when I bought it, I didn't know it was a knock-off. I got it off of a forum member, who was going back to stock. Got it for $125, back in 2005. The thing is, it has probably been causing issues with my car all this time, and I didn't even consider it.

After 3 days, busted up knuckles, bruised elbows and back, and countless unforeseen problems.......its finished (nana). I installed the exedy stage1 clutch, fidzanza flywheel, SS clutch line, new rear main seal, pilot bearing and throw out bearing, and two new axle seals. And the end result is a awesome feeling car as well as deep oil stained hands that I still can't scrub clean. And thanks to LinuxRacer about mentioning the rear main seal, since it was starting to leak a tiny bit at the bottom when I took off the flywheel. Also the throw out bearing was done for when I took it out cause it was loose and making a clicking noise.

I know how that goes. You need to have at least some latex gloves, or latex gloves with Mechanix gloves over them..lol!
