What have you done to your MP3 today???

Washed it real nice and went for a drive. Also bought some weather resistant tape to put my spoiler back on the car without scratching the CF.

my shifter knob was all faded and cracked and i saw a $6 one in the clearance section of an advanced auto parts so i threw it on there temporarily until i have the effort to buy a nice one online. The new knob has 6 leds that shine bright blue like the car so i thought wut the hell i really get a kick out of it

BOOO...rice rice baby. I can get you a badass custom made aluminum shift knob made to your design. Nothing crazy fancy though. Mine was made and powder coated clear gloss and brushed to match the silver accents in the interior. PM me and ill try to get you some details.

Avarela, have you driven with a weighted knob and aluminum? Notice a big difference between the two?

Installed my Corksport J-pipe, MAM midpipe (which could have been a shade longer...), NGK wideband, and tried to install my Prosport gauges but couldn't get the bloody oil filter off to put in the oil sandwich I had.
Pix will come later...

Switched the car over to Amsoil, installed medieval crank v2 and revised power steering pullies. I ended up running a 17.5 in the 1/4 at 78 miles per hour. Ran a 17.6 with a 2.7 60 foot as well, so I'm confident I can get a 17.4 with good traction. Track was cold and started to sprinkle on the last run.

P.S. I'm running at 4500 ft above sea level in case you're wondering why I'm so slow.

How much effect do you think the height makes? I was running 16.9s last weekend at 375 feet

Big difference. For every 1000ft in altittude you increase, you lose approx. 3% of your power on a NA car, about 1.5% per 1000ft for FI.

This was a couple of days ago, but dropped it off at the shop to get a LOT of work done. It's being worked on today!

Timing belt job (I was only 10,000kms away from being “due”) including water pump.
Since I’m doing the timing belt job, I’m getting the full Medieval pulley set (lightweight crank, PS, alt and WP), as well as the JDM intake cam with a proper valve clearance check (part of the 96,000km maintenance schedule)
Since I’m doing the water pump, I’m doing a coolant flush, and having the Samco hoses installed
Oil will be changed due to the fuel being in there, and since that’s being done, I’ll have my oil sandwich installed for the oil pressure/temp gauges I’ll also have installed
The head will be tapped (near the stock sensor) so that the water temp sensor (and gauge) can be installed.
My shorty header was never properly welded to fix a design flaw in the collector, and has again sprung a leak after having been done once before. This shop is known to do great welding (they welded the bung on my j-pipe, and it was flawless), so that will also get done, as well as getting it wrapped.
A full inspection of all components of the car (steering, suspension, fuel/coolant lines, ball joints, etc.etc.) will get done to essentially complete my 96,000km overhaul…
And finally, I'll get the small shifter bushings installed in the transmission link (at the spot just before it goes into the transmission)

Finally put my spoiler back on. It took a lot of courage to drill through the flawless carbon fiber deck lid, but I like how it looks. Also painted the mesh in my hood (silver now) and took 2nd place at a car show for mildly modified import.(yippy)

Could u tell any difference witht the new pullies on?

Hard to say exactly how much affect they had (you can only feel so much when the delivery is so smooth, especially since I also installed the FSZE intake cam at the same time), but the butt dyno felt as though I had a bit more pull in the midrange RPMs...AutoX was a fun way to test it all, that's for sure :)
