What have you done to your Miata today?

I did all of those when I replaced the engine IIRC, might be the front main seal... I don't think I replaced that.

Might be time for a rebuilt engine with forged rods and pistons anyway!

My car developed off throttle puffs of white smoke. Here was the situation... 4th gear pull up to about 90. Let off the throttle and *PUFF*. I'm thinking valve seals. It's not bad. Happens on a cold start from time to time. Perhaps I'll work on building an engine next year, even tho that's just minor head work.

Just get the head rebuilt. The bottom end is plenty strong enough. A good port & polish and a valve job wouldn't hurt, and would be a boat-load cheaper than doing the full thing

Kicked some ass at autocross (Miata below me was boosted)
I was able to get a 47.019 during a fun run, but they didnt upload those times. I only did 4 of my 8 fun runs though because I went to hit the brakes and all they did was lock. No matter what amount of pressure, and when heading toward a tire wall its no fun. Also thought I had a coolant leak, but apparently the over flow tank popped open during one of my runs too. lol. Car feels great on the FM Vmaxx's though. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a good comfortable daily but still stiff enough for the occasional autocrosser.

I seem to recall telling you they were a good choice and being told blah...

Eh, when I got the S2k the MX5 PRHT was a bit out of my price range, and now I have the bike for my own daily commuting. Maybe one day in the future once the kids are grown, but it just wouldn't be practical for us right now. And I have the race machine for when I need my zoom zoom fix (ie: tomorrow (rockon))

Makes sence. I didnt know you had a bike. With that and your autoX miata. Why do you need more. Thats cool that you still have your fun toys after having kids instead of getting rid of them like so many people do. I guess its a good thing for some people since there is always a good amount of people selling miatas cheap for that reason.

quick google search, they look really good. I always liked bikes but i don't think i would ever own one. My brother tries to tell me to ride his but I rather not, his bike is just a little to tall for me. I am very short...
