What have you done to your Miata today?

sorry chief, didn't have a lot of time. Just had lunch with an old relative and caught up with her, and my sister had to study for a test so we headed back early.

I was just kidding, this time of year I understand how the holidays are. Still, if I'm home and anyone is in the area, get in touch and I'll run you through some good roads. Maybe even bring you to the house and let the wife's attack Chihuahuas have at you!

Put it up on jackstands and over in the corner because I'm picking up a new tub (for spares, the actual tub will be cut up afterwards and dragged to the scrap yard once I've gotten everything I need off of it) and need the wheels to hold the new tub off of the trailer lol. It ain't got no wheels. Or brakes. Or a drivetrain lol

havent driven mine for a week....finally found a tps that doesnt cost and arm and a leg from parts group (mazda $150...partsgroup $25). Oddly enough its the first car i have ever dealt with that stalls out when the tps goes bad.

Very very expensive. I'm getting it for a grand total of "$Bring wheels and a trailer and it's yours"

Fellow racer's shop had one that they no longer need and it's in the way, and they'd rather not scrap it but they don't want to do any work selling it. The price is right. Got a couple buddies to help me push it up the ramps, and then help me back a car with no brakes down the steep @$$ drive into my shop. At least it's got a steering rack / column / wheel, which will help tremendously. But it's still gonna be a sizable pain in the ass involving getting the car off the trailer, getting the trailer unhitched clear of my driveway, hooking the car to a tow strap & the pathfinder to ease it down into the shop. All that only because the trailer USUALLY sits right where I need to back the car down lol.

You know Muff, you can talk to Sentry Auto Body right around the corner from you. They race Miatas and have a few tubs sitting around.

Just got done putting pot scrubbers in the vent compartments on my valve cover. We'll see if that reduces the amount of oil ending up in my catch can.

Yeah. NOt for free tho. The guys that race them keep them around for a reason, especially Spec Miata guys. They're consumables, kind of like tires or brake pads (hah)
This guy's a smaller shop that needed it out of his way.

i took my christmas shopping... and bought some oil/filter for it :D

That's pretty cool, but this isn't about what you did with your Christmas, it's about what you did with your Miata.

Also: Whey did your Christmas need oil & a filter?

Got my updated catch can back so it went in along with the pretty valve cover. See pictures, I also included one of the new washer bottle fill peeking through the wiper cowl cover.
