What have you done to your Miata today?

Mazda has the highest compression ratio gas engine and lowest compression ratio diesel engine (for an automobile) both at 14:1 CR. It seems like they did a number of supporting changes to help both engines work well with unconventional CRs.

Yesterday I installed an accessory outlet. The PO replaced the cigarette lighter with a push-button start, and I needed a place to charge my phone!

Washed it today. Here you can also see the innocent looking exhaust!

Tons of work was finished over the weekend: FM timing belt kit, FM frame rails, water pump, and I finally finished my NB suspension conversion. Found out that my engine is actually a short-nose (boo) but there is virtually no crank keyway damage (yay) despite the crank pulley bolt being on finger-tight (boo). All is better now. Getting psyched up to race again this season!
