I am at 58k on the oem brakes.

It doesnt seem to be affecting how i can stop but its just really annoying.

Sorry to do this but i want my post on the new page.. really want to get this resolved.

grrr i wish i could find plasti dip around here i could have some fun with it

They don't have any at the local Home Depot/Lowes?? Or even have a HD or Lowes? I watched a vid this morning of a guy that plasti dipped his VW GTI wheels! Looked great to! And then posted a vid 6 months later and they looked just the same. When done just peel it off! I am really thinking about trying it. But not sure how well it would turn out with the damn 20 million spokes on the stock rims.

Tungsten, you might want to think about maybe putting some brakes on your car, especially if they are original. 58K is not bad for a set of brakes. They might replace the rotor's or they may just turn them, all depends on what kind of shape they are in, and after turning them they must meet a certain thickness to be considered safe. In any case your gonna be spending money, or well your dad will be. :)

mm with the way i cut my back plastics around the exhaust, i should get some of this stuff.. it looks really nice on that other members car. I cant believe how good that stuff looks, and was shocked that he did everything in black with plastidip, including the wheels! I gotta send him a PM and ask how the coverage was, to see how much of it i would need.

@Boosted - Understand need to not put your info out on the net. But make up a story? Maybe just said "things are happening" and others would have been there to support you. Life happens. Glad your still a member of the community as you have valuable information.

@Tungsten - It sounds like when too much brake pressure is built up, it leaks. I suspect not good. Get them looked at.

Still getting used to my new brakes. They appear to do great warmed up. Peddle feel is still soft. Not sure what to do to correct that.

i made my own.. since the guy that used to make them no longer own the speed6.... i needs a little welding skill to make it work..
Shokit is ugly and expensive anyway, i bought the metra kit and use the circuit board only.... ... :)
