What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

60mm gotcha. What modification needs to be done Taylor?

I mean as far as mounting it. the opening when the vents are out is larger than 60mm. I just shimmed mine with 1 side sticky black foam and it worked.
 
enjoyed some sunny ~5 degree weather, took her to the car wash, drove around with the sunroof open all day.... everyone needs a sick day every now and again dont they?? haha

aha! RETIRE @ 38!??! wtf do you do? i mean ya 3 cars, so you must be doing fairly well for yourself. and eventually moving to Turkey? wow, otherside of teh world!
that whole, giving up some acres to builder, who builds and you get one of the Villa's sounds damn good to me, sounds tempting lol.

hate to see another 6 owner dissappear, but glad to see you are keeping in the Mazda family, is the 5 due to kids/expecting?

They were in pretty rough shape. If I had some time to refinish them, I'd consider putting them up to sell, but for now, the trash has them.
 
Did you have to do any other mods to your vents? I mean can you put it back to stock?
Seems I may just do this instead of the lo-tek dash pod.

Almost the opposite, we have one kid, we bought an MPV when he was a baby and we lived far from family. Now he's 5, we're back home with most of our family, and having the Protege5, the 6 and the MPV didn't make sense. We've been paying waaaaay too much in insurance, so we're dropping down to just the P5 and the 5. Also, we just had a big mechanical scare with the 6 last weekend, I've never found the source of all the water in the trunk, and the damned car had a disturbing rattle/clunk noise I never successfully diagnosed. Not my problem, now!

We're "right-sizing" the fleet, as business management douchebags like to say! :D
 
@batou: JDM-P5 is in the military. he'll be eligible for retirement after being in 20 years, and he's got ten left....I've got...18....damn, that seems like a long time.

Every thing snaps or unscrews. It will go right back to stock. The prosport I got came with an eylash pod. I just had to cut it down and then open it up for othe gauge to fit all the way through. I put the gauge in the pod backward to sit flush instead of receding. The 3M squares filled the small gap between the vent duckt and the pod. I tapped into the cigarette lighter for power. The vents are screwed down to the face of the dash. They all tree come off toghether and the individual vents are snapped on to it. you will see the tabs. i found a write up for it on how to remove the vent through google. Use somethig to block the vent duct behind the guage or you will lose a lot of heat/a.c into your dash.

aha! so career military guys. cool beans, a buddy is about to go to basic atm, he wants to be a special forces sniper. heh, he's got high hopes, the youngin'. :p
well i wont be retiring till prolly 70. so yay, 40+ to go!
