What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Got my second revision today. Going home to upload it to the AP. See how it drives tomorrow. :)

Part out?

don't settle for the 2010 mustang, wait for the 2011 GT!!!!

^This^

It'll be sad to see you go, Steve, but I eagerly await the part-out!

-Jay

Yes, there will be a part out, and everything will go. No doubt about that. And yes, I'm waiting for the 2011. I've already driven the V6 for 2011, and I could never live with a 2010 GT after driving that. Who knows, I may just option it with a Ford Racing supercharger and finance that as well.

Trying to find a set of nitto neo gens to fit my car but the only size available is 235/40ZR-18 XL 95W B. 235 seems like too much. What size should I get for a good balance. Stock wheels / springs.

So sad to hear about everyone thinking about/planning on selling their car. Although to be honest if I could afford it I probably would leave this car in favor of the new mustang as well. But the next new car we get is for my wife and she wants a GTI, so I'll keep this one for many more years to come!

I'll be around for at least the next couple of years. I'm about to buy a house so it'll be a little while for any more big spending for me.

as long as my car doesn't blow up i plan on keeping it for a long long time.. i gotta get my car finished up this year since i will be buying a home next year...so i gotta save every little bit for the down payment and any new stuff needed for the house . anything i want after this year will have to wait a few years until we are settled in the house.

I'll be around till at least the fall, maybe next spring. Besides, I gotta groom you guys and pass the torch on ;)

STEVE!!! dont leave us!!! well at least drop in erry so often to continue to pass on your knowledge even after your MS6 goes the way of the dodo!

btw, i still get dibs on part out right? lol... ya know... since i already started buying yer parts. :)
man, i feel like a circling vulture already... if only you could afford to keep it too! :(

I will be around, but you might have to get used to this look from me soon:

might as well get some stuff out before the SRI install... that way you wont have to take your bumper off again!

Thanks batou!

Steve, we'll sure miss you around here, but that Mustang does make a pretty good argument. I'll be hanging on to mine for some time, since I bought it just before we bought our house, and it's paid for. With the mortgage and probably a second car coming next year for her (Mazda3?), I won't be doing any major upgrades. Also, I couldn't replace it with anything that didn't have AWD after 2 winters with it.

Coyfish, that boosted S2k is pretty nice too. I drove along for a little on the highway yesterday with a stock one and it seemed so small and agile. Not like the TL Type S that decided to try to run me from a stoplight later.

I'm liking that S2K. One of the few Hondas I'd own.

I may just have to throw a blower on the GT. Found out they'll warranty it through the dealer and honor an extended warranty as well, so that might be worth while.

definitly a good choice to move to steve!
and coy, not you too, no. NO!! bad coy, BAD COY!! Don't make me take mah belt off & give you a bad whoopin'!!

Yep im pretty excited about the s2k. So far seems pretty reliable / easy to get 400whp. Still doing my research though.

As for my speed 6 the RR tune is still a work in progress. Gets better and better every revision but something is wrong with my car. It gets boost creep in 4rth and 5th. Today I did a full pull and 1st-3rd were perfect at 18-19 psi. Then at 4rth I was holding 20 and it went up to 21 at 5300ish rpm. Before I was tuned it was doing the same thing. But even worse and with pretty bad knock. Now the knock is gone and the creep isn't as bad but its still there. No clue why its doing that. The intake is tight. The inconsistency with this cars engine is quite annoying. Friend of mine has an evo 9 and that thing is spot on with boost. He sets the boost with a MBC and it stays right on.
