So i did a coolant flush and refill, washed the car, and dropped the car off at my mechanic to confirm my suspicions about where the power steering fluid is leaking. Sure nuff, its from the damn feed hose out of the reservoir. The desk quoted me $150 for labor, new HOSE, and clamps... WTFBBQ@#!$!!~! BS, i was like FUUUUUCK that. I new i could get both a clamp/hose for 20-30 bucks. As i leave, the mechanic (a new friend finding out we have friends in common) pulls me aside and says, "hey man, just get a new clamp, you should actually double clamp it and it will hold just fine... the house is ok, its just a worn clamp..."... like i was thinking.
LOL classic overpricing shops, its starting to offend me. I did the oil change & conversion, suspension install, rear diff seal replacement, and all fluid changes myself for not even 1/10th of what that damn shop quotes me. getting to the point where i NEVER take my car in, unless its something i cant do, or just need confirmation of symptoms.
spamming all my local connections about a big combined/mixed car meet we have going on tonight.
cleaning car a bit, fixing a few things after work, than off to dah show! gonna hopefully see some badass rides.
