What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

yikes, you and taylor hold that high of boost, and arent worried? dont think you need forged internals?

These cars come with forged internals.

I have been running 18psi since I had the AP. Only once I got a upgraded fuel pump and exhaust manifold I turned it up to 20psi. This all made possible by meth injection of course.

I think skater runs 24 or 26 psi on the stock block. He has the world record speed6 for 1/4 mile.

I remember a conversation I had with a local girl here who has a speed3. She got an AP and put on the stage 1 tune. She said it was running bad and jerking when she floored it. I said what psi does it hit? She goes "its holding 24psi according to the ap... is that bad?" I said yea. Thats not good. . . .

Nope not aiming at you lol

for real.

he has a bike to ride everyday.

Cooler temps=MS6 gets break.

cooler temps should mean the bike gets a break and the turbo gets some use! haha my car is loving the single digit temps

took my forge BPV off today (the sound was starting to annoy me) and i honestly notice a difference between that and the stocker. :( I also dropped $650 on tires today so this means I cant spend monies on a new BPV :(

glad Im not the only one who hates the ping of the forge BPVs

The dual port hybrid BPVs sound the best, IMO, but I will never pay $250 for a BPV unless there are palpable gains

vrspeedemon what kind of tip did you get? cause when i installed mine before i got the ap i didnt lose any boost at all...to me it sound like something is loose...did you get one of those rubber tip's like cobb or cpe? how much boost are you holding now vs before?

mglavina my tune is set to hold at 17.5 from 1-3rd and from 4th-6 its at 18.5 lbs ...on the street when i hit 4th gear i am usually way over the speed limit and never get to push 4th unless i am on a highway at wot

yes that is the stock turbo but its the SST one so it's not really the stock turbo since it's been modified.

Went out to the car this morning and found that my little door lock isnt working anymore :( I have to take my key out of my wallet and push the little button to get it to unlock :( Heading over to the dealership to get it fixed under warranty.....

I have the corksport TIP, ive checked all connections and they are all tight.
I haz no boost gauge so i'm relying on the dashhawk or the AP for monitoring....both read the same but not sure if my boost is actual or what the ecu is reading?? Make sense?
I'll have to do a couple of logs when I get the time and maybe someone can help me figure it out, kinda hard to do any WOT runs around my area as it seems like every friggin road is under construction.
I think the stage 1 map is set to 17 peak tapering down to 15, the numbers escape me right now cuz im at work.
Im still a noob at the AP, so just running ots map until i can figure ATR out.

These cars come with forged internals.

just looked up more info, rods & crankshaft are apparantly forged steel.

but that is all i can find, the pistons are just cast aluminum, as being a weak point that we have seen.
block itself is also kind of weak, but i cant find any other info about forged stock internals.
the only forged MZR components i can see...

Sadly the pistons are still a weak point in our cars as we've seen from zoom zoom boom cases. so i guess that makes sense.
not many cars come with forged pistons it seems, evo does. lol

EDIT: Found something someone posted on 6club:

Directly quoting the Mazdaspeed Technical Training Book.

Engine Modifications To Handle The Increased Power:

- New Precision engine block and cylinder head casting process
- Forged Steel crankshaft and connecting rods
- 4 layer metal headgasket
- Aluminum alloy dished pistons for heat dissipation and lower compression
- Large diameter full floating wrist pins
- Roller timing chain
- Oil jets added to lubricate and cool pistons
- Optimized piston skirts and connecting rods due to addition of oil jets
- Increased lubricant volume and pressure
- Water cooled engine oil cooler
- Intake manifold and valve cover changed to aluminum for better heat and pressure characteristics.

In spite of the other problems that I have developed... see link-http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123786723-Big-problem-I-think
I cut off the 2 rear most catalytic converters leaving only the 2 that bolt onto the manifolds, cut off the tip of the EGR valve and welded the hole closed less a very small hole.
When i went to do the bypass of the coolant through the throttle body, the nipple broke off that attaches to the bigger hose so I had to stick a screw in the hole to plug it.

When I hold it to the floor in 1st and 2nd gear, it makes a whistle sound through the intake and out the exhaust that sounds like an old plymouth blower, really really sick!
