What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

do you expect the mileage to go up even more after Dynotronics tune is finally done?

Hopefully yes. I have it tuned safe and filthy rich under boost now. I expect they can dial in a nice and lean cruise value as well as optimize fueling under boost.

Who did the upholstery for your seats?

I bought them off eBay for $400 from a seller that sells a bunch of replacement leather interiors for different cars. Turned out pretty good.

I picked up hog rings and pliers and installed them my self

Within the past week I removed all seats and seat fabric, then installed leather over the factory foam along with heat pads (5 temp settings) for the 1st and 2nd row, still need to finish up the wiring for it.

Where did you gt the leather seat covers for $400, got a link? The best I could find were 1000.

I finally test fit my dumpster dive Mercedes Benz cargo box :)

Checked out the body shop to get an update on my lip kit. Probably getting it back next week & will have it installed soon.

What did I do? I ran into an ice bank as I courteously pulled over to allow another car to pass on a narrow local road. @@!&#^#@*@*$*$^^#!!!

Managed to pop the dent out, but the paint sustained numerous stress fractures. Probably won't be long before it starts flaking off.

Lucky I didn't damage the windshield washer reservoir or power steering pump. They are perilously close to the fascia on this corner of the car. This little doodad was knocked off, however. Anyone have any idea what it is? It doesn't appear to have been plugged into any harness, just clipped on the side of the washer reservoir under the pump. Can't find it on any parts diagrams.

This looks like a fog light plug. Your car does not look like it came with them, but they use same wiring harness and just leave the plug dangling.

No, I have fog lights. It wasn't damaged either, thankfully. This is something else. Some type of sensor maybe, available on European or Japanese models? Glad it wasn't an airbag sensor!

Based on it's location, I tend to believe it is for a low washer fluid sensor. In case anyone is wondering, previous gens have the same thing hanging around.

If I have my bumper off again (planning for summer –if I remember too), I'd test it out. Then again, I really don't need or want a low washer fluid warning light..

I read your previous post before the edit. There was no wiring harness attached, and I didn't see any dangling around. Additionally, the connector on this unit has road grit in it, so I don't think it was ever connected to anything. This diagram shows a low-level switch in a different location on the reservoir.

Maybe this would have been some sort of relay? The side opposite the connection point, with the two round circles, looks like a terminal end, though. The circles are two soft rubber caps.

No engine codes or warning lights yet. Hope it stays that way. I'll be happy if this is some vestigial part.
