What have you done to your Mazda3 today?

smoked the tail lights and painted emblems today. looking to order Bc racing coilovers in the near future

Traded mine in today for a 2013 Ford Escape with Eco boost. Didn't want to say goodbye to the 3, but I need something with 4WD to get me to work in the winter and the CX-5 was out of my price range. I'm going to miss the zoom zoom, but the Ford is a good car.

I Clay Barr'ed then Stripped off the the Old Car Waz then applied some new Car Wax!...Damn that was SO tiring!....Now Nugget is looking Crazy Shiny & Smooth now!,,,,yay!..

Starting to return my car to OEM, going to sell her after my first deployment. Debating either and Speed3 or an STI.

Just bought my MazdaSpeed Protage 3 weeks ago and I have been fixing things every weekend since.
First weekend Replaced the crappy sony head unit the kid had installed. I took the 8in sub out of the kenwood custom mount in the trunk.
Cut out holes to fit four way 6x9 in the rear deck and mounted a three way amp to run the 6x9 and my 10in sub.
Now it sounds a lot better.
Next project was the motor mounts I found the whole oem set for 100.00 new so I went with them as money is an issue but to be sure I want to upgrade them.
Then this last weekend valve cover gasket Oil and trans-axle fluid also found a crack in the piping from the air filter to the turbo. I can't find OEM replacement pipes
But I think I can just make a temp fix and go to a cold air with all hard piping Just got to fid the best performance to price.
Any replies are welcome to what else I should inspect.

Excuse the terrible cell picture but here's how she sits currently. Plasti-dipped the wheels today because I was tired of the silver. Also used rubberized bedliner inside my fenders to keep winter moisture out (hopefully).

haha Guess I am the only Mazda 3 thats doing stuff everyday!

I did my very 1st Oil Change right now...It was easier than I thought..Always nice when you got the correct tools! :)

I installed a grounding kit and 2 out of 3 wires for the big 3 grounds today. The car feels good but I was really just looking for something easy to do. Took maybe 45 minutes and I was real anal about where the wires run. I will do the positive battery to starter wire on wed when I have time to pick up some thick electrical tape.

Also Goldie, if you are going to do your own oil changes and you don't like messing with the 2.3's cartridge filter you can swap to the 2.0 regular spin on type filter by installing the adapter plate from a 2.0. It bolts right up and makes oil changes easy as pie.
