I have had a jump starter for several years. My other car is a 4WD and we do go to remote areas sometimes. It lives behind the 4WD’s back seat. Its about 8” long and 3” wide, 1/2” thick. Not very heavy.Though, with more and more people failing to carry jump cables, it's one of those "insurance" items for many. Could have done one of the CAT brand AGM units, for a bit more $green, but it's about 30x the size. Lugging that beast around would probably get me a discount at the gym.
We makes our choices and takes our chances, don't we, whichever choices we make.
Never used it on one of my cars, but have used it on several other cars where the battery was so dead there was barely a click when the car key was turned on, an no crank at all. One if them was an old V8 diesel ute.
Connected up. Cars all cranked and fired up immediately. Did it easy.
Its also got usb plugs for charging phones etc, a 12v output plug and an inbuilt led light.
