Those are nice jack stands. I always see people using that are car shows to display the brake setup and what not. How much did those run you? If you don't mind.

Thanks - I'm just impressed that they are 3 ton stands and they are so compact and light. I picked them up on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&itemcount=4&sspagename=MERCOSI_VI_ROSI_PR4_PCN_BIX_Stores&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&viewitem=&refitem=200109310911&item=180120721277&refwidgettype=osi_widget

So nice and pretty. I use mine so many times they would get beat to hell.

Yesterday, I put a pair of shelves up in the garage for storing extra 2 litre bottles of soda. I also took the extra carboard boxes out to recycle, put some tools away, shop-vac'ed most of the garage, and generally straightened and cleaned up in anticipation of this weekend's install meet at my place!

Today, I'm going to work my way down the pile of stuff along the last wall, and find out what's taking up my space, why, and where else I can put it! I also have new lights I may install this week, and I'd really like to build a rack on the wall to hang my trailer-hitch bike rack, as that large, heavy, awkward bastard doesn't sit well on the floor at all!

I'm really enjoying my break between Spring and Summer semesters!

haven't done anything to my garage (it's over 3000 miles away from me currently), but i'm hoping you garage kings have some ideas for me :)

fiance has a double garage, which normally would be ample for his car and mine. but he also has a bike (see attached pics) which obviously cannot be left outside. i was almost thinking of building an attachment on the side of the garage for the bike but the ground slopes pretty decently there, plus you'd completely block the gate to the backyard... we won't know how things will work until i'm actually down there with my car, but do you guys have any suggestions?

You could always make the garage deeper by doing an addition that extends the garage down the driveway.

On the same basic idea, I was going to ask, what's behind the garage? You could go out the back for more space.

I really want a garage that's 2 cars wide (with some room) and 2 cars deep. Much more than two wide, and the whole front of the house is garage door! At 2X2 though, you keep the daily drivers in the front row, by the door, and the back row is the race car/classic/roadster/parts car, etc. that you don't need to get out very often. Sounds about perfect to me, but I would also go for 3 wide by 2 deep!
