What gas to use in Canada (not octane but gas station)

I have a buddy here at work who is fairly knowledgeable and trustworthy when it comes to things of this nature; he tells me that hes friendly with the guy who goes around making sure that gas stations are meeting standards for their octane levels and cleanliness. He tells me that here in Courtenay, BC(I know its as far west as you get really) Chevron is the closest to actually having true "87" octane, (as well as the other octane levels) and has tested as the cleanest gas also. Now like I said hes pretty trustworthy and I know him to be knowledgeable in this type of thing; so if it turns out I'm wrong then don't blame me.....little disclaimer their. I do use only Chevron gas myself however, and my P5 runs awesome; but I've never used anything else...so you know.

esso!! esso extra points and they give you 3 cents off the liter when u pay cash instead of debit, it doesnt really mater what company you get the gas off of, its all the same anyways, i always try to go to a newer gas station in a hope that the new holding tanks arent full of crap like old stations,

I've heard Ultramar is good gas (mom worked with ultramar ppl). Personally I don't really care where I stop... I do prefer Shell because Air Miles but there is none in my area..

Lil Freak, pioneer gas station buy their fuel from sunoco, at least according to their web site at http://www.pioneer.ca/about-history.asp . I find them to be a cent or 2 cheaper than the "major" stations. In fact, the pioneer at home is always cheaper than the sunoco across the street.

Decided, to dig this up... w/e... Mr.Ames why were you getting lousy mileage from co-op? I've been using co-op so far (my car is stock with Mobil1) and I get pretty good mileage ~12km/L or 8.33L/100km

I like Petro Canada myself.
They do 'winter gas' (all octanes gets a gasline antifreeze additive added in) which is a plus.
I always get good mileage and performance with them, nothing to complain about.
As well, Petro Points add up fast, I must get about 10 free car washes a year - why not right!

Unfortunately, we do not. On BP's website, there's a list of countries that do have BP stations.
Gas is Gas ! Most of it comes from the same refineries - doesn't matter who's selling it, while Sunoco 94 is a preferred blend, I'll fill it with whatever is available, preferrably at the lowest price possible. Most popular service stations are refilled on a regular basis, so as long as it's 'fresh' it really doesn't matter ! (dunno)
