What exhaust company in everyone rockin'??

Don't worry about the RB making too much noise, it really doesn't. Around here, cops are pulling over cars with fart cans and giving them a $110 fine....when i'm beside a cop or they are following me, they don't even look.

i'd have to agree with chicken soup with the apex1 ws... unfortunately, they do not make it for our cars. (at least i dont think they do) but that was the best cat back system i had with my 240sx... looks like RB here seems to be the favorite...

one thing i think that would be extremely helpful when stating your opinions in here is to specify whether or not you have which exhaust and if you have manual or auto... a louder exhaust in an automatic car can easily be quieter than a lower sounding system in a manual... of course depending on whether you drive the car hard as well...

If you dont wanna spend that much but you want the roar and not the ass sound of most import mufflers, i'd go with an Axle-Back Mazdaspeed exhaust off of eBay for $195, and then get your local muffler shop to fo 2.25" cat-back piping. At first all I had was the axle-back, as soon as I got the piping my exhaust system reached its potential and I love it. Its has the roar of a G35s exhaust, but a little bit louder. Interior resonance is very high at high RPMs but I love it. My total spending when I was done was $280!

Has anyone heard of Thermal RD's CL exhaust system for the P5 and whether it's any good (worth the extra $$$ above and beyond the MagnaFlow and the Racing Beat exhausts)? A friend of mine has one on his Prelude and swears by the, but damn, it's rough looking at spending an extra $100-200 on a system that may not be any better. Thanks!

Racing Beat is awefully nice but expensive. I'm gonna try just buying a muffler and having a shop weld it up; maybe the rumble of a Flowmaster 40series would be fun :) Flowmaster says to stick to 2" pipe for such a small engine, they say "Too large of a pipe can actually hinder exhaust scavenging by allowing atmospheric pressure up the pipe".

Do a little research on exhaust technology, it's interesting stuff and there is a lot of bs out there

the SKUNK2 exhaust and HKS hiper exhaust are sweet. the difference is the SKUNK2 is full cat-back, and the HKS is only rear section. i have the HKS right now, only because i got it dirt cheap thru my sponsor, but it sounds sooo sweet (especially when you remove the silencer!). i want that SKUNK2 soon! (burnout)

magnaflow, love it, no big can visible, nice tip, awesome sound, does drone a bit at times, but likely partially due to loud intake. have noticed a bit more punch, more willing to pass in fifth, would probably be more noticable if I'd gone from stock.

Isnt it the Mazdaspeed axle back the same diameter as the stock piping (1.9 inches) By having a custom 2.25"catback piping to a Mazdaspeed axleback that is 1.9-2.0 inches will still be a bottle neck at the end......

Anyway, I have an SR motorsports catback system ( 2.25 piping) Very nice and mellow. No freeway drone. Very "stock" looking and nice sotp gains..
the sound is very similar to RB catback.

Magnaflow. I've had nothing but compliments on it, it's not loud but it does growl when you punch it. I've also got the OBX header, which I reccomend to go along with the Magnaflow exhaust. It makes it louder, but still nothing that would get you pulled over. It has a WONDERFUL sound when I really hit it. The tone drops about an octave and it really pulls. And the idle sound is like a tiger purring. Even my father, an avowed Alfa Romeo enthusiast, likes it.

I was thinking when I finally buy a P5 that I'd go with am AWR header and Borla. The AWR eliminates the cat. I hope that wouldn't be too raspy.

DC Sports header

i think i am gonna go with magna flow. It seems to have the best hp increase and i like the sound. But i was just wondering what would be the best headers to go with magna flow, or does it not matter. Any suggestions of headers?

i'm personally waiting for the DC header to come out.
