There's no proof whatsoever that he did it. Something similar has been happening to my car in our neighborhood. We've SEEN the kid (~21yrs old) throw eggs but since the police haven't seen it, nothing can be done. My car was constantly egged for about 2 weeks nightly and then randomly after that.

My advice, do the right thing and don't do s*** about it. Try to find a camera if you think he's going to do it again.. If not, pay for the car (insurance?) and be done with it. If you retaliate(sp?), it just gives him/her more reason to do it again and make it worse.

Take this opprotunity to get a paint shop to add more pearl to the door or something. There's always somethin good you can do..

Hi Tease, I thought he stated that the person admitted to the offense to another person. Why could he not have the person questioned in reference to the offender admitting guilt. Then have that person served papers to appear in court to testify. This is the same tatics that law enforcement uses, when using narc's etc...

P.S. I agree with the camera idea. I have seen cases on TV where people have setup camera's for this very purpose and was very effective in obtaining a conviction. If he was able to obtain a conviction. Then he could also sue the person in civil court and win a judgment, which in turn would allow for him to put a judgement on his credit.

I HIGHLY doubt this person will be honest with a police officer or court. If someone damages a car, they do it out of spite or jealousy... Then that person rubs it in the victim's face in a bragging sort of way, not a "let me come clean, Father" way.

True, but If he told somebody he commited a crime and the person he bragged to is questioned and admits to the police, that the offender did admit to the crime, you now have your witness and can build a case. This tatic is used everyday in the justice system....

It doesn't work that easily. Maybe on tv but not in real life. I mean he MAY, don't get me wrong... I just dont think he's going to openly admit to keying a car and the cops surely aren't going to actively pursue this since it's just a property crime.

Yep, that is very true. The police have other crimes to worry about and they would not really persue this most likely...

I would never let anyone key my car and not do anything about it. You better believe I will be giving them some payback one way or another (evil)

Well guys, He did admit it to his g/f at the time. .who is now his ex. She is my friend also and she told me how he did it and what he used. (a red carpenters knife.) She was scared to death to say anything because he threatened to kill her. And they all swear he killed a kid a year ago. Personally I think he's a pussy because I'd partied with him a couple times after he swore he didnt do it. And at one of those parties is when it came out. He's a typical asshole. Beats on women and stuff. I figure one of these days when Im in front of a Lexus I will just slam on my brakes and get a new car lol. J/K I would never do that. but I figure he will get his. If not from me...he will piss off the wrong person and they will just shoot him. Belleville is a bad area. And he's a wanna be thug.. That doesnt mix. (nana)

Iv'e posted this before...but my car got vandalized too, some bastard kicked off my side mirror. First off anyone who would do that to a MSP deserves to by hit by a bus full of ninjas. I had just washed it at a 24hr car wash at 2 in the morn...parked it under a street light...it looked so nice glistening in the moonlight. The next morning big boot mark on window and door and mirror kicked off. So yeah...bus full of Ninjas...if the bus doesn't kill them..the ninjas surely will.

Ive become good friends with the car dealer that sold me my MSP. When I told him about it, he said you know what...."messing with a man's car is justifiable homicide." and He had the most serious look on his face. I was just like, damn wont ever touch your car lol.

I just hope that I can find some way to get my car fixed without my rates going up. There's gotta be some way to do that and not dish out 3K. Hmmmmmmmmmm (uhm)
