What does this light mean

there's an yellow light where the rpm's are the stays on when i turn the car on - i had the car for 4 months and this is the first time it turned on - what does this light mean

i have a mazda 3s 5 door

can someone help me out

tire pressure? really because its where the rpm's are at under the oil light. But the oil light is not on, its the other light thats on and i dont think its tire pressure

nope its not power steering either because its not the little yellow wheels thats showing - its the other yellow signal, it must be the engine light i guess but what can be wrong, its a brand new car

does the bad crash sensor set off a cel? also it's common to throw a random cel on brand new mazdas but still get it checked out...is the light solid or actuly flashing? If it's solid drive to dealership but if it's flashing tow to delership.

find dealership # and call for an apt cause if you just show up you will be there for a lil bit. after calling eat breakfast if you already havn't and take it in for a check...also see if they can get you a pcm update (naughty) Mazda relases updates but won't tell the dealers what they fix...

I agree with DA 6- take it to the closest Mazda dealer. I bought the same car (Mazda 3 Hatchback) in June and the check engine light came on twice. There was a problem with the settings and the dealer was able to run some updates and take care of it. Since the car is brand new it will still be under warranty so you won't have to pay.

i had my check engine light come on recently, i took my car (3 hatch back) to the dealer, and within a few hours, i had it back. the dealer said that it was the purge valve solenoid that went bad. and as for you not knowing what light is on... it's common sense, look at the manual.
