i went on tirerack.com and looked at some rims for the p5, im lookin at a set of 17x7.5 ASA JH8s black with chrome lip, just wonderin what people think, or if anybody on here has them on their car.

ive always been a fan of dark rims on a red car. only problem, and this is just personal, they look like the stock 03 rims, with painted spokes. again, just my thoughts

looks stock from a distance. i went throught the website and did all the selection stuff. and teh picture they used showing them on the car looked like they were the stock rims painted black.

Love those rims. Those were my 2nd choice, and only because of the dual lug pattern. If they were single bolt I would have bought 'em.
I think some folks have 'em- check the wheel/tire section.

cool, thanks for the feedback guys. yea ive always liked dark rims on a red car too, thats why i was lookin at the black ones rather than the chrome. i think ill get them when ive got the money...any suggestions for tires?

Go to Tire Rack and look at the ASA JH8 rims... virtually identical, same price, but specific bolt pattern for the car without the extra holes like the Kazera dual bolt setup... much cleaner.

i did look at the JH8s, theyre my 2nd choice, i like the deep dish look, and the clean spokes (no words on em), but i like the flat black look of the kazeras

personally, i rather go 18" w/ any kind of lips on the rim, the lips will make your rim smaller plus, style of the rim does make yours bigger...

yes, it costs more and makes the car slower, but for show, i will def. go with 18" or crazy light weight

yea i was lookin at 18s, but i wanna lower the car and from what i can see the ASAs and Kazeras are only in 17x7.5, and im not into real big and flashy rims, i like the low profile look

update: after giving it some thought and taking Mmmmmken's advice, i think im going to go with the ASA JH8s rather than the Kazeras

Personally, I disagree with the looks of dark wheels and a polished lip...on ANY car. I just think it looks lame. But that's just my opinion. I think you'll get those wheels and love it today but you'll hate it in 2 years when the look is so tired.

possibly, but i wont have the car in two years, so it wont be my problem. but hey, no disrespect, everybodys got their own opinions. personally i think it looks good, but thats cuz i didnt like the look of chrome or silver on red for my car.

I don't understand why people take time to give negative advice and opinions here. The guy likes the wheels... so do I. When I posted on thoughts about this a while back, nearly EVERYBODY thought they looked awesome.
