What do you do for a living?

LOL! I'm sooooo tempted to put that in my sig. And that was post #6666 from Magnum. Maybe he's possesed?
LOL awesome - I totally didn't catch that! Just annoyed that 95% of members in this forum can't be bothered to read...

Doesn't have to say "Ohio only". This thread is in the Ohio section - its intent is for the communication of Ohio members. As mentioned already this is a neat way of seeing how people in Ohio might be connected (for example, both upMP3 and I work for GE and attend UC though a little backward). Why would we care what people from TX, FL or NY do for a living? I repeat again, there already is a thread in the Off Topic section for this same purpose.

I program a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to measure metal stampings (Quality Dept.) at Com Corp. Ind. If you have a chrome or black metal part covering your headlight bulb, we probably made it unless it's a honda.(enguard)
Sounds interesting. We use CMM all the time at GE with our manufacturing programs.

For the record, I was bored and saw someone said they were a press operator. I was just curious what company he worked for as they might be a vendor of the company I work for.

Nothing wrong with that. You were asking a question after all, which can almost always be considered on-topic (nothing that couldn't be asked in a PM though :p)

Just saying, unless it somehow applies to the specified state (travel, family, etc.), the state sections really do apply only to those members living there. Otherwise it makes about as much sense as me posting about a meet in Norfolk VA, in the Utah section.

Yes b/c a meet and asking people what they do for a living is so similar.

You're getting a bit territorial about your state. Who cares? I don't police the FL section and admonish people from other states when they post in there.

For me, I was just asking the guy a simple question and throwing in there I worked for reference so he wasn't thinking "Why the hell does she care?"

Sheesh! Wasn't aware people were going to get all up in arms about people from other states posting. (dunno)
