Mazda Protege Mp3
I need to find a way that i can fit my new greddy shift knob. does anybody know a way its made for mazdas.

If it is made for mazdas, it won't fit the MP3 because well.. the MP3 is an oddball and has a different threading. I don't remember if the rod size is the same or not, but if it is just the threading you can get a tap and tap a new thread in the knob. I had to re-thread my Greddy knob and my TWM shifter when they got crossthreaded.

oh burn. That means you can't do anything to get the greddy knob to fit if it was made for the M10x1.25.

Then you're all set. Just get a Kartboy, TWM, or B&M but one made for the Mazdaspeed Protege or Protege5, not the MP3. Then your knob will fit.

megan makes one. its like the ebay one. there was a gb on it a while back. everyone who bought one liked or loved it. n btw, i use to have a kartboy LOVED it. it was problay the best mod i did to my car.

His MP3 shifter is an 8mm shaft, the greddy is threaded for "most mazdas" so it's a 10mm hole

yeah......and.....

you fill it with liquid steel or something else and then re-thread it. doesn't take a genius.
