What did you pay for your CX-5?

Well that is the same price, but you got more stuff. I don't really want/need the activsense. I just need to add remote starter. Yes I'm in the Twin Cities. What dealership did you go to?

I would get one installed after the fact. The Mazda mobile start is a complete POS in my experience. Only part of the car I feel ripped off by. I'd give it back for the $$ without a second thought.

I agree. Don't get the remote start. A quick $500 extra buck for the dealer too, so don't let them talk you into it...

i just quote two dealer ship now , Morris Mazda did not want get down the price (they always said they have good service ) , walser Mazda and white bear lake Mazda quote me : 2016.5 Mazda CX-5 grandtouring AWD
Soul red with tech package and I activsence package , the sale price is : 32198 , the OTD price is : 34798 , the walser Mazda said :they can do 34670 , that is it. , if you like we can buy Mazda CX-5together lol. The Msrp price is : 33725 , if we can do 7.5% that would be 2500-2600 down the 33725-2500=31225. , that would be good price to buy this car. Haha

Lets do it! Honestly I probably just will bite the bullet eventually and get stiffed with a bad deal.

Are you just getting these quotes by talking to them via online chat?

Are you going to buy it or just try and see what they will offer? Maybe we can talk to them together and say what is a the best price and we will buy two.

Okay give me your email address to me , I may buy it , if this month not , next month must buy it , we see that happened

(flame suit on...)
I know this thread is generally centered around newer CX-5's, but does anyone have a good gauge on used CX-5 prices?

I couldn't find a thread, but if there's one point me in the right direction.
I'm looking at a 2014 GT CX-5 w/ tech package. 15,000 miles, priced at $23,500.

I know that is too high, but just curious how low I could go?
If trade in is roughly 17-19K, would $22,000 be too low to offer?

Hi everyone,

First post!

I pick up my new CX-5 on Thursday. It's a 2016.5 Touring AWD in Soul Red w/ Sand interior. Factory options were floor mats, bumper guard, and Moonroof/Bose. I paid $27,697 including the $900 delivery fee but not including dealer doc fee ($245 in this case) or registration and state sales tax. That works out to about 4.6% off MSRP which isn't all that great by the standards of this thread but I'm content. The Sand interior with Soul Red seems to be very unusual around here but we really wanted it; the inventory tool only showed 5 cars with that combo within 150 miles which was already further than I wanted to go.

FWIW, I emailed about 20 dealerships asking for their best offers if I paid cash before June 30. After a couple rounds of back and forth, the best deals (unfortunately not for cars I wanted) were 7.2% and 6.6% off MSRP and then a bunch right around 5%.

Edit: I forgot that that they were going to let me put some on a cashback credit card which, since I pay it off in full every month, is the same as another $60 off the car. So my final percent off MSRP was 4.9%.

Why wouldn't they match the 7.2 and 6.6% offers? Just curious...I know you said it's "rare in your area", but with 5 available with a couple hours drive I would assume that would be easily doable...

Hello Fellow Mazda Owners,

I just signed for a 2016 Mazda CX 5 GS. Our trim levels have different names but this is the middle version. I believe similar to the Touring trim.

It has Navigation, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Camera. All standard stuff. 2.5 L DOCH 4 cylinder, 6 speed transmission.

Now my pricing might be a little different because I'm in Toronto, Canada. I looked at so many other Maxda's and no one was lowering their prices.

MSRP $29,245.00
Price $28,318.00
Taxes $3,681.42
Out the door $32,000 Cash Deal

Only two of the five red/sand had moonroofs, not a must have in our emails to dealers but something we really liked the idea of. Obviously I didn't work closely with all 20 dealerships but I did with both that had the ideal car. The place I bought from said they were a small dealership (certainly true) and didn't have the same kind of volume incentives as the big boys (plausible?) though they did come down from their original offer. The other place ended up being the 6.2% after some negotiation. We almost went with them but they were 2.5 hours away and more importantly they were in MA. MA doesn't do temp plates for dealers which makes signing and driving on the same day difficult. The place we bought from is only an hour and did VT regs so we gave up the money (about $400) for that convenience.

But you're partially right. Several of the dealerships with other color combos clearly would have come down more based on their responses to my "thanks for your time" follow up email. Questions like: is it too late, can we have an opportunity to beat their price, I just heard back from the store owner, etc. I think we could have had many other cars for around 7% off MSRP.
