what did you pay for your 3 sedan in Canada?

Thanks! I wasn't planning to get winter tires. I used Goodyear Eagles on my old Paseo for a couple of years without much trouble (admittedly smaller than these).

I build my on the Mazda webpage and with tax it came to a $29500, it was a GT sport Leather, sunroof, and homelink...

just wonder where does mazda put their homelink thing, is it on the sun blocking thing?

They remove the factory rear-view mirror and replace it with another rear-view mirror with the Homelink & compass integrated into the mirror

hi wongpres

does the rear-view mirror with home-link buttoms and campass a auto dimming model?

i assume it is an accessory, but is it available in canada?

;)

for your reference....

:D

jinino:

Yes it's auto-dimming. There are two auto-dimming accessories for Canada:

Auto-Dimming Mirror with Compass & Temperature - MSRP $360cdn

Auto-Dimming Mirror with Compass, Temperature & Homelink - MSRP $540cdn

The deal from the post above (invoice + 4% & PDI only $300) is called the X-plan and unless you're eligible for this you won't be able to use X-plan numbers to negotiate. I too am X-plan eligible and so I know a lot about that program. Having ordered my car already here's my tip: if you're eligible for grad rebate, just negotiate with the dealer as normally, the X-plan price only LOOKS like a good deal (in reality, the on the road price is less than $300 from pure MSRP with grad rebate).

thanks wrongpres

i m doing extensive research on the price of mazda 3

my wish list is

mazda 3 sedan GT trim
silver with GFX package
leather seat

i m considering buy the invoice cost from www.carcost.ca and then
going to the dealership or auto broker to bargain the price.

i think for a new car like this, auto broker is the way to go or unless we can somehow arrange a group buy for 10+ cars at once here in vancouver.

the price from fobby is the lowest (pretax) so far from my research. can you tell me the requirement for x, y and z plan?

Yes, I agree with you that an auto broker would be a good way to go. But do realize that this car just came out and most Canadian dealers won't have full supplies until Feb. So if you plan on buying before Feb then don't expect much off.

Mazda Canada has 3 price plans: A, Z, and X-plans. A-plan is for Mazda/Ford direct employees, Z-plan is for Mazda/Ford direct retired employees, and X-plan is for Mazda/Ford Family (or supplier) employees.

i am looking into buying a GT sedan VERY soon and if people in the vancouver area want to get together and buy "bulk", i'd be more than happy.

BTW, I stopped by the Boundary Mazda today and test drove an auto Sport....NICE!

Didn't do any negotiating though.

hi mazam,

drop me an email or privare message... i wish we can get enough people for a group buy

u can see my wish lish from my previous message

Hi mazam & jinino
I'm also looking to buy soon - probably within two weeks, for sure by end of year. I'm more interested in the Sport than the Sedan, probably GT manual.

Maxam - did you get good service at Boundary Mazda?

hi nufsaid,

gald you are here and see our message. i m looking forward to get the car soon too. ( actually asap ^_^ )

i went to richmond automall, surrey and langley automall already. service at richmond is not bad (though no price negotiation has been through), surrey sales looks like don't want to let us go initially after we offer $23370 pretax (which is the price i think still high if i can get a hold of the dealer's invoice price and it includes silver GT sedan with GFX package & leather, freight and PDI, ducomentation fee, metallic paint) and langely one is just harsh on price.

i am working on getting the price from www.carcostcanada, and call a few auto brokers in vancouver.

if any of you want to contact me, (like you are not sure what an auto broker is for example) drop me an email

no matter you want to get a sport or sedan, (and any level of trim) i think we can get a deal from either the auto broker or dealership...

cheers

:p

hey everybody from vancouver,

that sounds like a good idea. i know icecube from this forum is also interested. so that's like what, 5 people already? i'm sure we could get a discount with 5 purchases! plus, there would be no way that they couldn't give us a good deal.

i'm going to talk to a fleet/lease manager tomorrow. he works for Regency, but he's been really good in the past with being able to get other cars in. If he can get Mazdas, he might be able to get it for us at fleet price.

I'm looking to get mine ASAP as my other car's insurance is out and i am not going to aircare it.

nufsaid: boundary mazda was ok. the sales guy was not pushy but i didn't negotiate on price.

hey maxam pm me or send me somethign when u get more info, keep me in touch, if the price is good i will get the car asap also.

and i want that xbox lol:D

between that what is fleet price?

Please keep me posted too. Thanks.

I may be looking for a GS.

Boundary Mazda = Wolfe? It looks like everyone said that dealer is good. If a particular dealer sell a great volumn of MZ3, will there be less flexibility on the pricing for negotiation?

icecube, nufsaid, cds2060, jinino, myself...that's 5 people already!

for sure they have to give us a discount for 5 buys. but i think what we should do first is get a price negotiated for 1 person...then ask what about for 2 cars? 3 cars ? 5 cars!?!?

anyways, i went to west coast mazda last night in port moody and they said that wolfe was the worst dealership to go to! i don't know, maybe it's just rivalry.

but i'm waiting on some numbers from my sales guy so i'll post up information as soon as i get it.
