with and without the mazda logo, I like...

Anyone know about fitment with these?

EDIT: from their site: Note: Part No. 123GR, 139GR & 258GR are made for the Japanese version Mazda 323 which is different from the US Protege, therefore needs modification in order to fit the US models.

Those part numbers are for the grilles they offer. I know I've seen a couple proteges with this grille though. A red 5 and a Ti MSP come to mind.

<---- Another in favor of fog light covers...but i'd like them to be easily removable to revert to having my fogs

I didn't read the whole tread so this may have been asked for.

I want a ram air box set up. Some sort of box set up that starts at the front of the car along the grill line and runs into a collector and into the turbo. Let me see if I can find a sample pic.

Different door lock posts. I hate the stock door lock posts in that when I have the window down and put my arm up on the sill, I lock the door. Make something that doesn't stick up.

Besides...the stock ones look ghetto

I agree with whoever recommended a new rear license plate mount. Being in Michigan, my plate is also somewhat smaller. I have a frame that fits decently, but I also wish I could screw the lower end in. The stock mount has nothing for the bottom of the plate to screw in to.

And the fog light covers can't be plain metal. They either need something embossed/debossed on them like "MAZDA" or they should be mesh.

how about a stainless steel cover for the pocket below aftermarket cd players that say Protege5 (like the radiator covers someone on the board is working on)

I sorta have this setup right now with the OEM Protege5 rear emblem.. i'll try to remember to snap some pics tomorrow, they might be camera phone quality though. it's temporary but I think it looks nice. The OEM rear badge is a nice fit for the spot too.

Oh and here is my idea for something to make. A new front license plate bracket that doesn't have to be drilled into the visible parts of the bumper and that has a quick release to detach the front license plate. I can make a crude drawing of this concept if anyone doesn't get it, i'm sorta tired so this might not be coherent.

EDIT: pics attached

Now that we have the ZLINE created and in motion, we would like to continue workig on the "dead pedal" idea.

Okay, we can EASILY fabricate a dead petal that would be 14 or 12 gauge thick (real thick) and can find the right screw combination to affix it to the interior of the car.

Regarding "matching" it to the MSP is another thing -

1. We noticed that the pedals (2003.5 and 2003 I think) are painted, not REAL metal.
2. We have to be very careful as far as "matching" doesn't infringe upon Patents, etc.
3. We could easily do a nice piece, but we are unable to supply rubber inserts.

With the three points above being said, would you want us to make a cool looking dead pedal and the end user be responsible for painting it? We could shoot for a introduction price point of $30.00 shipped for those that are interested.

Let us know!

ok first to the person that mentioed new interioir door nubs, the is a how-to on how to shorten them so they sit flush when locked.

As for the fog light covers, we have done a few GI threads before and always get a list of 25-30 people but no one to make them for us.

So if you guys are seriously interested in making the covers with enough people I can start a gauging interest or even the GB thread itself tonight if you want someone here to set it up and I know we will get 10-15 people at minimum soon.

Let me know and I will set it up.
