What Color Calipers-PLZ vote...

I painted mine red on my titanium speed and it looks really good. Id choose red out of the three.

or they stop better cause they are colorfull?
get the big brake kit, then you might wanna show it off, but stock brakes....why?

I personally painted mine black, just because i hate the look of the stock calipers with brake dust all over them. Black with cadmium plated/slotted rotors looks pretty good imo.

I'm with the people who said yellow. Paint your calipers to match the same yellow of your MSP. Otherwise, leave them alone because, after all, they're just standard-issue brakes.

www.duplicolor.com makes a yellow annodized paint.


I used the blue annodized on my calipers and it is nearly a perfect match to my laser blue.

not sure who it is with the yellow mp3 in their sig with 5 spoke adr wheels and they calipers look hella tight on that one and they are red. I have the metalcast blue on mine also, even though it doesnt directly match the midnight blue like it does with laser blue but the slight color difference actually looks good. I have had alot of compliments on them even when the people knew they were just painted and not an aftermarket upgrade.

Honestly to those that say not to paint your calipers thats your opinion, its obvious he wants to paint em and is asking for color choice, not to be told not to paint them. Remember sometimes even when you dont like something other people do. I agree though its also your right to pursuade someone away from what you feel is a bad mod....guess it goes both ways.

i also have a yellow 2003.5 msp and i am doing mine cobalt blue to match my engine bay and graphics,it's a real shiney blue..all auto part stores carry it and its heat resistant up to 1200 degrees..no peeling or chipping, i'll post pics soon (mp3yellow

Red is the obvious choice for too many cars so I think you should go with a glossy black.

If I have to pick from the 3 given colors, Red would be best.

But if you feel like being more creative, why not go for yellow, deep orange/copper, or gun metal? All those look hot on the MSP yellow, without clashing with the car color or standing out too much. I look at my brother's yellow MSP and my yellow MP3 in our garage everyday, so I know the MSP yellow pretty well. Hope you pick what you like best!

LOL, your car must still be very new. Give it about 6 months, and you'll know. Those factory calipers will look like total crap and will really detract from the car's looks -- especially with those wide gaps in the rims on MSP wheels.

If you want to go "subtle", paint them silver. I have a silver P5 and painted mine silver with the G2 caliper paint kit (the only way to go, IMO). Very people notice that I painted my calipers, but no one notices the crappy-looking brown-colored calipers, either.

i'd say neither of those choices. lol... i'd probably say gunmetal or i think dupli-color calls it cast iron(??). it's a thinner, almost transparent consistency so you'd probably have to go over w/ it several coats but it helps that your stock calipers are already silver. the red looks good on the evo cause they're nice and big brembos. (evil)

I painted mine yellow. I liked it when I was going white and yellow on my car but now I am going with black and white. A friend told me to buy actual caliper paint for my brakes so I bought the one that costs $50.00 dollars. Still havn't put it on yet but that paint turns to plastic and resists a lot of chemicals, especially brake fluid and petrolium products. Can't wait to do it. I think I am going to go with what pr5owner said, black calipers and possibly blue or red brake pads. Sound like a plan. Thanks.

Oh I would go with yellow on the calipers to match the car. I like when the car looks uniform. But if not yellow then red. Blue would be my last choice for your car paint being yellow.


I love the car yellow, If I could I would paint my car yellow. I should have waited the two weeks for the Yellow P5 when I bought my car but. Got to excited. One day I will have it yellow.

Agreed. But if your "colour combo" is yellow and blue, then go with blue.
You really have to decide on a colour scheme.(silly)
