I think SA/Austin is good not because I live here but its like the dead center of Texas I don't have a problem traveling except like Armarillo or El Paso which IMO is ridiculous for everyone also there is a track in Austin by Formula 1 (http://www.drivewayaustin.com)

i have a feeling that most of the people voting in this thread are in s/a. im telling u guys, and no offense to the local there.but hardly any out of towners showed up there. if u want a big outcome it has to be held somewhere else. people get burnt out on going to the same place. the 3 sisters cuize is a blast, and probably the most fun ive had in my car, but we gotta mix it up guys. and honestly our local meets have about as many cars as the big texas meet in san antonio did.

So I say Houston. I can talk to a few of the shops around here and see if we can have a dyno day. The only thing would be if you guys want to go with an AWD or a 2WD dyno.

im kind of with dan on the meet size. our local mazda meets have 25 to 30 cars.

also, we generally plan dallas around imports vs domestics or another one of the big import meets out there. in san antonio, we will run 3 sisters, then what? eat on the river walk and run it again?

Doesn't matter to me honestly, but I hope whatever we go there is a dyno, a nice windy road, famous restaurant and a track day (1/4 Mile) we could all go to during that weekend.

Too hot by then, and too much to do at home (for the wife mostly) by then too.
Early-mid spring or late fall would be potentially better from a weather standpoint, imo.

I'm all for March but I would say have it in Austin then we all could cruise up to Dallas but then again waste of gas I don't know what Dallas nor Austin has to offer but anything is better than nothing

also I can get the whole KMT together for this which is about 25 deep BUT theres always people nagging about driving the distance

If we have it in one city I don't think people want to drive to another city it would be cool but probably not an option I don't care where its held there just better be a good turn out that's all I gotta say about that

dallas just has more to do then the other offered cities. we have about 3 8th mile tracks around here then the 1/4 mile track in ennis. i say we set up a picnic one day at a good local park. chill out there for a bit get to know each other a bit, if everyone wants to do something that day we can, maybe just cruize to another cool location. then the next day we can take the galaxy cruise down to ennis, run a few runs down the 1/4 mile then head down to the galaxy drive in movie theater and catch a flick. theres just not much to do in san antonio, and austin is only cool if there is a festival goin down downtown. and houston, well the only cool thing i can say about that is there is an ocean about and hour and a half away.

So basically from all your posts your saying that Dallas is the best city in the world that we all should be lucky to visit and want to move there because Dallas has everything we could ever want and the rest of the citys in Texas are nothing because they have nothing to offer and are lame...it's funny your the only one who's constantly raving over Dallas and all it's glory.... get over it let the people vote and when the vote come to and end then well know where it's gonna be held at...it looks like it's gonna be held in Houston anyways so if that's gonna be a problem for you because it's not as glorious as Dallas then don't go

Every one is going to have favoritism towards their city. But like Mr speedracr said, if you don't like where its at you can just stay home. Just like I did for the other Texas meets that I didn't want go to.
