yummy

1964 ford custom with the 223 milage maker 6 and 3 on the tree
two tone blue vinyl interior,..... nice back seat

essentially the same as the cop car on the original andy griffith / mayberry show

First car: Inherited from my Mom. Literally, the first Honda Civic off the boat into Canada, 1170cc of 4-speed terror, 1974 vintage.

First car I bought: 1970 Camaro SS with a 327 under the hood.

Yeah, I been doing this stuff a while.

that had the cvcc engine ?

1990 Eagle Talon
Bought brand new, had to order it through the dealer and wait 6 weeks.

2000 f150 Harley Davidson.
saved birthday money since i was 8 and my parents matched my savings.
went through 4 transmissions in 100,000 miles. traded for speed3

CVCC was a year and a half away when this car came out. This was 1170 cc, 8 valve, sohc, claiming ~60 crank hp. It had all kinds of weird JDM stuff like the washer was a bag strapped to the firewall that you squeezed with you foot to put water on the windshield and the knobs were all pull-out and looked like they were stolen off a 70s era cigarette machine....

I got 47 penalty points on that car and had my license suspended 3 times so, it ain't what you drive, it's how you drive it. Though I have to admit, seeing a Nissan GTR with a New Driver tag on it near my house is pushing that concept a bit far.

my first ride was a '69 jeepster commando half-cab, that dad and i swapped a 400cid small block and 4speed..... that's what i drove while i was restoring the '70 SS nova that i drove into college....

When I was 17 my sister had a 70 chevelle with a 307. Remember those? Chevy needed an engine under 305 inches for the TransAm series, so they took the cranks from the 283 and put them in 327 blocks to get the high revving 302. The leftovers, 283 blocks and 327 cranks, essentially a stroked 283 became the 307. It had a 2 speed powerglide on the column.
The front left quarter was dented to hell and gone, so when she went to trade it in, the dealer offered her $100. She gave it to me instead. I found a quarter panel, painted it to match, spent all of one Saturday swapping it out in my friend`s driveway, and wrecked it in the rain the next day.
God was I pissed at myself.

lots of cool cars some folks had, i couldnt imagine being able to go pick up a charger or chevelle for what like 3k back in 69 or 70...lucky.

i started out in a '95 Ram V8 1500. extended cab with an 8ft. bed. the ****** was a land yacht. crowded parking lot? good luck getting it through. after a while it was like second nature though. i guess thats why im so good at parking haha

on my high school senior year during 1st day of spring break, my dad bought me a brand new 1998 honda civic coupe EX :)

1994 Volvo 940 Turbo. Surprisingly pretty quick for a 16 year old (yeah yeah, nowhere near a MS3, but I was happy). I still miss the HUUUGE analog clock it had in the dash. It had Clock - Speedo - Tach (and a boost gauge stock from Volvo haha)

Here in NJ, no license til 17. However I learned to drive on a 1985 Mazda B2000 5-spd, which is still in my backyard with 47000 original miles! But I got lucky and took my dads 1999 B3000 5-spd with 19000 miles when I got my license in '02. Had to pay $3000 for it tho. Put some underglow on it, black lights in the interior, off-roaded, and blew a rear completely out of it. 3 Mazda's later, I have my MS3.
