What car did you have at 16?

Got my license day I turned 16. Got a job 1 week later. One month later my parents financed a 08.5 CWP MS3. A year and a half later, I have made every single cent of the payment, as well as my insurance.

If I could go back I would never have gotten the car. I love it to death but having to work 40hrs/wk, at 16 years old, just to afford a fast car is not worth it... I'm actually trying to get out of it now but so upside down I'm basically SOL. That's life...Live and Learn

Got my license at the age of 16.

Got my first car (2004 Toyota Corolla S, 3 y/o at the time with 40K miles) at the age of 18 before I started college. I love the car to death and I have no immediate plans of replacing it until after I graduate and get a steady paycheck.

I paid for half of it along with my parents, so if I paid $7k for a Toyota Corolla, am I spoiled?

Thanks spoolin for starting this thread, I enjoyed the FIRST page of this thread, so let me get this thread back in-line....

when I was 16 I drove a 1983 Chevrolet S-10 w/4 spd manual and NO power steering. It was the last manual transmission vehicle I owned 'till I bought my MS3. (excluding my motorcycles)

OK ladies and gents....

I have cleaned this thread up and I am about to change the title.

Post the car you had a 16. If you have anything judgmental to say keep it to yourself or get an infraction.

This is a decent thread with a good spirit behind it so don't ruin it. again.

1994 Jeep Wrangler

1986 Ford LTD, piss yellow soft top (not convertable) and poop brown paint job.

1967 Buick LaSabre. Yeah, I'm old.

Right behind you, brother. got my license on my 16th bday in 1976, and pops said 'keep your part-time job & the $, you can drive my 1969 Buick LeSabre w/ the optional fist-sized rust holes in the trunk.'

2 yrs later i bought my 1st car, a used 1976 Chevrolet Monza w/ a 2.2 liter o'head cam aluminum engine that leaked more oil than it burned. Yeah, I paid my dues. (chair)Thank Gott life's finally been pretty good for the last 2 decades.

inherited my dad 1970 240z #454

Had well over 150k miles on it but still ran like a champ. Almost a track set up even though I had nooooo clue how to take advantage of it. But drove the s*** out of it whenever i could. Sadly, I sold the car for some powder.

DONT DO DRUGS!!!!

1986 Buick Century...had to get in and out on the passenger side door. Had a gas leak too...that's when gas was like 1.09.

Didn't have my own car (in my own name, under my insurance) until I just turned 22 and graduated college. I didn't mind it too much, kinda sucked at times since I went to a high school where most of the kids came from money. One chick in my class wrecked her red Jaguar vert when she was 16. Her dad replaced it with a black Jaguar vert. larf.
