What brand of bulbs do you guys like most? Non-HID please

Really, if you want to know, buy both bulbs... Just spend the damn money. Thats what I did. You just can't take one answer when they haven't tried anything else. That statment will pretty much apply to anything.
i'll second that. There was coonstant debate on the Sylvania Silverstar vs Osram Silverstar. I bought both. Installed the Sylvania's first, didn't mind them at all, then installed one Osram, and *shocking* couldn't tell the difference much at all. The only reason I kinda could was because the driver side headlight is aimed down more so it doesn't look as bright. Sadly, both of the Sylvania bulbs blew within a month (i made sure they were NEVER touched) so now i'm just running the Osrams. I got the osrams for less, but I'd get the sylvania next time because shipping took forever.

I am running sylvania silverstars, I used to use the sylvania cool blue's but went through three of those in a matter of 7-8 months(silly) crappy bulbs.

BTW, I will never switch back to the stockers no matter how long they last, ewwww.

I'll admit stock will probably last you anywhere from a year to 2 years. But as Maxx says, silverstars won't blow out for at least a year. But for sure when they die, pick up some silverstars... you won't be disapointed... of course if you can find those HKS Power bulbs, that would be very intresting to see how bright those bastards can get!
they had this headlight kit that came with it's own ballast, wiring harness and all when the HID kits were back in it's overly expensive days (forget the brand name but it was a japanese company). you could control the percentage of the brightness of the bulbs. fooled around with one of the display ones before, shoved an HKS bulb in there and it makes an EVEN brighter improvement. but for the $300 odd dollars it was selling for that's already almost as much as a decent HID kit. just a little tid bit.

i, myself, have had a HORRIBLE experience with silverstars... always blowing out prematurely.. i finally got fed up and got some EURO TYPE R's.. best bulbs i've EVER HAD!!!! they come with a 1yr fully replaceable gaurantee... i got them at Pann Auto down here in San Diego....

I tried alot of different bulbs, came right back to PIAA...nothing else comes close. I am running the super plasma's.

Are you sure you tried Silverstars?
Yes, others that I've tried and liked are Silverstars and CATZ Galaxy white, but so far PIAA's are my favorite....hope they last :)

well, my 2cents. I have silverstars in the BMW and although they are whiter than stock they still look like a set of regular halogens. not worth the money. Streetglow is the closest hid look ive ever been able to get out of a halogen. i was not happy with eurolite purple ones they looked like a stock bulb. right now i am running the CUZO Purple ones. i wanted to try something new, they look kinda cool but have horrible visibility. in my opinion stick with your streetglows

when you get the chance, hit the HKS Powerbulbs... I can't get them here... and for people to ship them up VIA US, they don't seem to take the chance. One person on the forums says its much better than the street glows so it's goin to be hard to imagiane how thats gonna work out. If those HKS bulbs can give you extreme visablilty with whiteness I'll hunt them down.
