What bpv to get?

Well than you're in luck because mine's an 03 black convertible (terminator obviously haha). I made 587rwhp/568rwtq on a veryyy conservative tune. The car is an absolute monster. So fast it's ridiculous. Maybe if some people wanna see it I'll post up some pics some time haha.

Back on this subject I agree, there needs to be some flow testing done as well to that the boost loss was actually the BPV. I'll see what I can do with this as well. When it comes down to it, the better the valve stays shut and sealed the more efficient the turbo is obviously. So we'll see how efficient these stock BPV's truly are

That's a wicked car. I'm guessing Mr Whipple is riding on top instead of the Eaton unit? The vert is nice too, especially since you can really hear all that lovely horsepower out back. Rev it hard under the overpasses occasionally just for fun.

Haha you are right on all of that. It is whippled and the vert is amazing for the sounds, especially under overpasses like you said. It scares the crap out of so many people how loud it is. I never in my life thought I would have a car where I could spin the tires at 70mph if I wanted to haha. You definitely are a fan of the terminators by your knowledge

I am a fan of the Terminator Cobra for sure, but never owned one.
I had a Factory Five Roadster with a 408 in it so you could say I can identify. Had a Victor Jr on it with a 750dp and genuine Protopline heads on it.

I knew of several that ran Regal GN turbo motors in them and once I saw one, I wanted that powerplant really bad. VERY fast but not noisy. Sounded wrong coming out a side pipe of a Cobra but wow, what a fast setup. The turbo bug bit me you could say.

I know Mustangs well, and was really into them for years. I've had a couple Fox bodies. I'll never have another Fox body car.

I'm really enjoying my speed these days and having a great time learning about the MZR and mods.

Wow than you have definitely had your fun. That's so awesome. Haha fox bodies definitely make good drag cars too! You think that setup sounds weird in a cobra. A guy just threw a twin turbo'd viper motor in his...the thing sounds ridiculous. I'm loving the speed too, having a turbo is such a different feeling. Are you going to mod your speed?

The 12cyl sound of the Viper motor is already weird in the Viper itself. There are quite a number of Cobra replicas running that power plant too. It's ultra torque monster but again, sounds totally wrong to me.

The fastest one I've ever seen was running a 400cu Chevy with a tunnel ram and big port racing heads with a Dominator........ on the street. He was running 10's on the street with side pipes, which is just stupid. It had one of those giant scoops on the hood like funny car so the carb had some place to get air. HELLO! CAN YOU HEAR ME? It was insanely fast and ridiculously loud, but fun to watch. Not for me thanks.

My first mod is likely going to be the Corksport SRI + TIP setup. After that maybe a test pipe, rear motor mount, shifter, and I also like the new TS BPV from SU, which is not available yet but already being discussed here. After that, I'll see what happens. I don't want to take it too far. My car doesn't even have 2K miles on it yet anyway. Haven't even changed the factory oil! I have time to play with it this summer. It's a daily driver and I don't want to go very far modding it.

I like the power it has now, but this car has such great handling and brakes, it's a much better balanced package than anything else I've ever owned and I really like it. The power isn't THAT important to me really but I can't resist modding.

It's just impossible after all I've been through with my other cars. Once you go mod, you never go back. It's an addiction I tell you!

Apparently Ken you guys now carry the synchronic but can you sell us on it over all the other valves you sell? Give us your professional opinion and tell us which one you would run and why.

we've carried it for a while, at one time it was super popular but i've not sold it since and don't recommend it honestly. its huge and ungainly and does not fit the best in the engine bay. they have some youtube videos where they really pump up the supposed gains from the valve but i honestly feel its no better for the money spent than a Forge or HKS unit.

seriously man... save yourself the money and go with the forge bypass...
If your wanting sound, performance and quality its the way to go!
1. way cheaper!
2. nice and loud with a high pitch air noise that sounds awesome and gets peoples attention
3. adjustable so you can somewhat tune it to your car and its mods..

Thank you very much sir. This is the opinion I was looking for.

yea dont know about the sound, but the performance and quality is definately there.

no problem. when it comes to parts like this, i feel its all about function and less so about style and hype. this (and the price) is why the forge unit sells so well.

I don't know which forge bypass valve you got but mine is louder than both the greddy and hks valve in recirc.
Maybe you don't have a intake or something but i have the nano short ram and forge bypass blue spring with 1 shim and that thing can be heard pretty damn far away

thats exactly what i dont want... sound.
i have the inlet / intake and its loud enough. plus the exhaust and cooler and it makes a bit of noise... the forge is noisy even with intakes from the cars i have been in. i just want a bpv that is quiet... i htink the turbosmart new design ill have to wait for.

im not saying its not loud, im just saying it sounds like s***.

oooo ok.. well theres one OPINION, I think it sounds pretty sweet, when i heard it on videos i hated it but decided to try it anyways for the price.. sounds sick to me...
-If your not looking for to much sound i would go with HKS in recirc... Your gonna get sound with any valve(even the stock one puts out a nice whoosh)
but having heard greddy hks and forge in person i would say hks would be the least of the noise makers in recirc.

-Im curious about the turbosmart as well. that might be your best bet, however i bet its still gonna be pretty loud. Just know that as far as quality goes you can't go wrong with the forge or hks.

for me, when it comes to sound i dont care if its not that loud as long as it makes a decent noise. a nice woosh or even a wistle is ok. that mario coin noise that the forge valve makes sounds ridiculous, IMO. but now i have a turbosmart dual port which i love and im sticking with it.

Turbosmart sounds sick and i probably would've went for it if it wasn't so expensive

for this guy I would say either the turbosmart or the hks...

The Forge is great if you want to pick a fight. I have the Forge with Cobb intake and Cobb turbo inlet. Load up the boost and let off when you get next to the someone. It's loud and will scare them and or piss them off. I enjoy doing this. Got a stang GT pissed Saturday, he thought he was going to teach me a lesson.
