What BPV is for me?

How hard would it be to go back to stock from a HKS or synapse? you know, incase i need warranty work.(upyours)

you guys should put take the recirc hose off and put a duck call on it... I know i am going to do it atleast once.

Here is a video of an RX-7 doing it. I laughed my ass off when I heard it. I think i will just drive around and annoy people with it for a day.http://youtube.com/watch?v=Erjhkv9AzKY

Which bpv would you guys say is louder on a stock air box? hks, synapse, or forge?

They are all louder, unless you have the stock airbox. But they will all be muffled by the stock airbox, the stock airbox is designed to keep things quiet, and it does so very well. If you want sound, get a 50/50 at most. The bad effects of the vent to atmosphere wont be as bad as a 100% VTA valve.

Of the 50/50 valves on the market which ones would you recommend? Is it just turboxs that makes them or is the hks one 50/50 too?

I think Turbosmart makes a hybrid. HKS is 100% VTA, but there is a 100% recirculate adapter. The Turbosmart valves are spendy. TurboXS makes nice valves.

Is turbosmart and turboxs a different company? I'm getting the two of them confused.

Well, out of the 2 hybrid valves, I would reccomend the TurboXS valve. Its much more affordable.

But before those, I recommend 100% recirculating valves. They are what the car was designed to run with. The hybrids and VTA valves dont have anything to offer except the sound. Its not wise to sacrifice performance/well being for something that gains nothing.

Have there been any reported problems with running a hybrid? I know there has been some people on this forum fighting for either side. Would the hybrid be best for me because I want to be able to run the stock air box but under WOT I can hear the valve?

Shoot, Im not sure if Turbosmart makes a hybrid. You may have to do some searching.

There have been mixed reviews for the hybrid valves. Some sputter and pop, others dont. If it does, it will be much more mild compared to the VTA valves.

You will hear the hybrid any time you let off the gas and are under boost. It wont be as loud as a VTA, but it will be louder than stock.

So here is what I have gathered: In order to run my stock air box and hear the valve I need VTA or hybrid. Since VTA is risky, hybrid is the way to go. And with all the great reviews of the Turboxs hybrid I should get this valve for my situation. How does that sound?
