HUMIDITY! here i am sitting at work trying to get a program running and i can't get this thought out of my head...obviously we all know what temperature and elevation do to an engine as far as density and such...but i couldn't think of what different levels of humidity will do to an engine (maybe i'm just tired it is after all friday)...anybody care to shed some light on this for me...

Well, I know for a fact that humidity and turbo'd engine don't perform as well. I would imagine that humidity would have a negative effect on performance for an NA engine. But, I could be wrong and I'm just as curious as you are about the humidity thing.

depends on the ambient temperature. in cold temps, humidity is a good thing (creates more hp) because there is more oxygen in the air (as water has much more oxygen than air)...but at about 15 deg c (no idea what that is in F), the tide starts to turn the other way and humidy has a bad effect on hp.....reason why they drag race at night
