I get a call from my friend.. he wants help installing his new Borla Catback and Injen cold air..

so I get there.. look everything over quickly.. jack the car up.. get underneath.. and lo and behold.. we have to cut the pipe..so.. no working on exhaust.. did the intake though. took about an hour. Pretty nice system. I really dont like what they have done with the 3's..

luckily you can take a sawzall and have the exhaust off in minutes.
I think it will come down to that.. just replace 'sawzall' with 'hacksaw' ....

nutari - Can you possibly get some videos of the Injen and Borla together?
When we eventually either hack up the exhaust or pay someone to do it..

don't most new cars have an exhuast that needs to be cut if you want to replace it?
no..

mine was all bolt on..

Never dealt with slip-on systems...

cuting exahust was no big deal for me a little annoying cause i didn't have use of lift the weekend i put it on. i got the magnaflow catback. sucks that you have to do it with hack saw though. (hah) hacksaw

Hacksaw is going to take some time...go by a sawzall from Wal-Mart and then use it to cut what you need then return it ;) hehe

the only bolt ons are vibrant and draxas... the rest b/c of the mazda design are all slip fits...

HAHA I thought I was the only person who did this ever. I call it the WAL MART rental program. My favorite is when we go on a trip, buy fishing poles and everything, line etc, use them for the duration of the trip, take them back with line and everything on it still, they have yet to say anything. Its why I <3 walmart.
