What a difference some bushings make!

I didn't realize how much slop was in the rear suspension with the old bushings, I figured I'd just shake the annoying clunk with the new ones. Its way tighter now all around and no noise. Mine clunked from the day I drove it off the lot and got worse over time until I got it fixed yesterday (at 1,400 miles).

:D

the first time i drove mine after the new bushings i couldn't believe the difference. i wasn't expecting to notice anything but it was quite different. (drinks)

Drove it some more this afternoon and WOW, what a difference.

I can't wait to get my snows off in spring and turn this thing loose. I've had the snows on since a week after I bought the car. They really put a damper on things handling wise.

I've not heard of anyone having the clunk return as of yet. It hasn't been very long, though.

Mine literally clunked from the second I drove it off the lot, so I was really pumped up when I got it back and it was so tight. I'm loving the suspension now.

I just got the new bushing put on yesterday. They acutally showed me the new bushing and the old one. The only difference is that with the new bushing they have inserted a teflon like shim. It actually looks like fibre braided rubber. But apparently it's supposed to hold up. I guess time will tell.
