Back in the late 80's getting into the 13's was an accomplishment. Most of the fastest cars, stock, did 14's. Now, there are stock cars, albeit very expensive cars, that do sub 12 second 1/4 mile runs. 20 years later, and the game has changed drastically. Now a turbo 4 car like the Mazdaspeeds can hit the same territory with half the cylinders and much more driveabiity. Now we can turn and accelerate. Technology is great :)

yeah I thought it was hilarious too. So hilarious I posted it to the local car forum I'm on that has a lot of f-body guys :)

... they didn't think it was too funny, so they had to come back with making fun of me for having a wagon... a wagon that can kick their ass on the track :)

It was a "monster" to me!!! Did you even look at what other cars I have owned over the years.

Oh, and to clarify, my '88 IROC was the 305 LO3 motor not the 350. That's why I raced "slow as hell & nothing worth racing " cars buddy.

Not to get off topic here but I have noticed some other posts you have made in this forum...you need to lighten up man and not be so grumpy and defensive about stuff(argh)

Then you would know they don't handle worth crap and are extremely tail happy. Like I said...lighten up.

I read through the posts, and granted a 305 may be considered a turd in the eyes of most enthusiasts 'however' they have been one of Chevrolets more reliable engines, considering they have the same bore and stroke of the 350's with a different set of heads. It seems as if some of you have to bench race and internet bully to be 'somebody'. Good for the guy with the IROC glad he enjoyed it. As for my previous vehicles I have had more than my share. Everything from a 1983 Dodge colt to the current MS6, I do own two other 2.3L turbo cars one being an 84 SVO-stepped up to 86 specs and an 88 turbocoupe. We also have an 07 ridgeline which we traded in the 06 Accord and the 03 hemi QC Thunder Road edition on. We traded the 03 Gt vert w/Roush package in on the Accord. I also had a 99 Contour SVT which went when I bought the MS6. Before that we had a 95 Explorer XLT, a 95 Saturn SL2, an 84 Bronco XLT,a 91 Probe LX, a 92 Ranger XLT,an 88 Ford Tempo GL. an 86 Ford F350XLT crew cab 1 ton dually do I need to keep going farther back? Yes most of my vehicles were modded some more than others and quick for their class.

Nice thing is the SVO 5 bolt flange will fit the MS6 and since I happen to have a few of those laying around I may create my own custom 3 inch downpipe vs. paying 500 plus for one.. I was thinking a V band setup w/ removable high flow cat. single 3 into two 2.5's

Oh and I bought a leftover 06 GT

Anyway aside from all the bickering......... my '06 speed6 and the gf's '05 6s hatch, after a nice wash the just passed Sunday.

Thanks dude....... oh and uh I agree...... the IROC doesn't really handle THAT well, unless you're doing some good suspension mods, but factory, yeah.... my friend down the street has an IROC-Z camaro...... his little "project" car... that thing doesn't come close to the corners like my speed6 and is very tail happy with the torque he has.... sorry to tell whoever thinks they handle great.(smash)
 
I drive a 2007 speed 6 GT, I bought the 6 over a 2003 Cobra, I hope I made the right choice. :D
