west wings hood?

The hood from west wings has two vents in it that seem to go strait to the engine. Is it safe to drive with this hood in the rain or is the hood mostly for show?

Does anyone know of a black mica protege(msp or not) with this hood yet??? I ordered mine back in may, and still have yet to recieve it. I'm dying to see a pic of it on the black, and so far, I have only seen pics of it on the orange cars.

HAHA, that's actually what I did for the few months that I was waiting for my car to arrive after putting my deposit down. I could only find pics of the orange because the prototypes that went out to the car magazines were all orange It was nice when I got to the dealership and saw it for the first time though.
