Went to the track tonight

you should be doing alot better than 13.5. well 13.4, more like 13.0-13.1. or even 12.9 if you get off the line without lighting up the tires

ive hit 13.71 and you see my mods. i stayed in gear too long so i lost time going down the track.

next time i go, ill make sure to shift by 5800rpms. and i should hit 13.5 around 103 or 104

with you mods, your trap should be hhigher as well even on your 13.5 run, Id think it would be more like 106-108

Very nice numbers. Location and track condition also make a huge difference in times. For instance the closest track I have here is acctually a slight uphill track, It sucks. That and they never prep the track when its just us import guys comming down, they only treat it for the big guys that come every weekend.

yea, you should be doing better than that even on street tires. maybe ditch those bad inserts and get a stiffer MM

13.5@104.5 was my best time and my best overall time remains 13.4@109

I really like that best time trap of 109. That shows that under the right track and atmospheric conditions you are making very nice power with your combo of mods.

My guess, and it's just a guess based on my own experience, that your limiting factor is traction in the lower two gears, just like the rest of us. I don't know if it is possible to break 13 on stock tires. FWD really sucks on at launch.

What kind of 60ft's are you getting?

I'll bet that with street legal DOT drag radials (but you'd have to go down to 16 inch wheels on the front) would put you solidly down in the mid to high 12's.

Nice set up.

12's on street tire wont happen on this car. I dropped about a half second off my et with slicks. Actually being able to laumch and stick makes a world of difference. Those mods wih traction is an easy 12 sec car.

I like that 13.4@109 mph time because a brand new Nissan 370Z that is $30,000 and up has a stock 0-60 time of 4.8 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 13.4@107mph according to Car and Driver.

haha yeah. my 60's were 2.2's and i got one 2.1. But i am getting 16's and drag radials soon so i will let you guys know my times then lol

The 2.1 is actually pretty good, IMHO. Low 2.2's are the absolute best I can get right now, and too many 2.3's. I'm still not getting the launch right. My driver error and fwd are holding the car back. The upshift to second happens right about at the 60 ft. mark too.

Drag radials on 16's are the ticket to good 12's, probably mid 12's with your mods.

By chance did you run at Portland International's late night drags? I understand there were a pair of MS3's this last weekend. I ran there 3 weeks ago and got 13.7- 13.8 with 2.3-2.4 60' times. I can't launch this car consistently or well. Would not mind doing the drags again if a fellow 3 shows up, we could compare a few of our differences.

have you guys tried to detune 1st and second gear? i think keeping the boost psi stock in first and second for traction would be good then just changing 3rd + to high boost pressure so it pulls hard up top when u wont spin the tires. Some thing i was thinking i would try when (if) i ever custom tune my car.

Tires, tires, tires !!! Dont detune so you can run bad tires just to not spin. Make all the power you want and strap on some slicks !! I may have some for sale soon. PM me if interested.

I had Surgeline do a custom tune for me and reduce boost in 1-3. I currently run a map for 17 lbs of boost until I get the fuel pump, for safety sake, then I'll run the boost up another 2 lbs and see where the car is at.
