Well, the Mrs and me, went to the dealer today, to try and find out, what the December promotions are, as Mazda is not listing them on their site.
They say they dont know, but think its going to be the same, with a 1000 cash back on 06,s if financing, and 500 cash if leasing 07.
I inquired about interest rates on financing for a tier one customer, and they were a couple of points more then my credit union. Right now, I can get 5.49 percent for five years. I havent shopped around on this, but I like with my credit union, its a no hassle to get the loan, and it comes out of my paycheck directly.
Anyway we wanted to look at the colors once more(My better half is the final arbiter on this point), and she has decided as the galaxy grey as number 1, white as number two, and black as number 3, since she wants the gt with the leather, as she says the leather will stop her dress from snagging on the material , (or something or other in this vain. LOL)
I am a fabric type of guy, but doesnt really matter to me in the long run.
I have three more questions, and forgive me for asking even more questions, as thats the way I am, when I buy something.
1) I know carpet floor mats come with the mazda 5(at least in the u.s)
How are they , and how are they different then the optional all season floor mats. (Sorry if this is a stupid question)
2) Also, I see in the dealer installed options, as door edge guards.
I dont understand since every m5 I see has them, and nothing is on the sticker. Do I mis understand what a door edge guard is maybee. Isnt it the long running horizontal panel, that suppossedly stops dings from other car doors hitting yours?
Why does that show as an option, even in the mazda catalog, as well as edmunds pricing. Can someone please explaing.
3) We tried to open up the rear hatch in the showroom, and it wouldnt open. We asked the salesman, and he said the key had to be in the ignition to open it automatically.
Is this true? It doesnt seem right. He found the key, put it in the ignition and hit a button(I wasnt watching very closely , and it opened up. Fill me in on this please?
Getting excited as we are getting close to joining the mazda club. We love are tl, and we love our sequoi, but we think we are really in love with a new gal called the mazda 5. I know my better half is. She hates to leave the mazda dealer without the mazda 5 being driven. She says its the most perfect car that she has ever seen for her own personal needs. And she is short enough to lay down in the back straight, with the middle and rear seats down.
She is 5 foot nothing, and I am 6 foot 4. Hard to find a vehicle that is accomadating to two various shapes.
