Well, its my turn (FC inside)

Well after a long wait and plenty of searching I got my FC today. Had to rent a trailer from u-haul and drove 4 hours to Ft Lauderdale to pick her up. Left the house at about 9 w/ the trailer and got back home at about 8. Not bad, but well worth it. On w/ the details.

1987.5 Nobel White FC3S
-123,000 miles on the body
-30k miles on the rebuilt motor: Motor was rebuit as a hybrid using the S4 irons and the S5 rotors which are lighter and give a higher compression.
-Only a few imperfections on the body but looks fantastic for being a 20 year old car.
-Brand new Toyo Tires
-Interior is also superb for a 20 year old car
-Fuel cut off switch
-All the electronics work, including the stock radio lol
-A/c stuff has been removed (weight savings FTW!)
-I am only the 3rd owner of the car.

The Bad:
-Sunroof is siezed, easy fix.
-Top engine stud for the water pump broke of allowing it to weep coolant(car was never overheated and was promptly parked once this problem arrose), also an easy fix.

For only paying $500.00 for the car I think I did quite well given i didnt want a garage queen since this will be my Auto-x car.

When we got there the owner had to jump it because it had been sitting for a couple of months, after that, it started right up and sounded great. Drove great too. BUT after the 5 hour car ride home I went to start it on the trailer and the battery was dead and the engine flooded LOL gotta love the 13b....

Excellent find. Why don't you try this. When you are pressing the open button of the sunroof push up on the back of the sunroof. A common problem is that there is no force really to push the panel up or it has weakened to the point where the motor cant handle the extra friction when it's supposed to pop up. Give it a try and let me know if it works

Some things I noticed. You have no p/s. That's damn cool. You have an 89-91 radio surround and shifter surround and a grey interior center console. Your speaker towers are also grey interior

lol yeah, no P/s ftw, I hear it sucked balls for the FCs. As far as the sunroof, Ill give that a try but the guy I bought it from said he looked at it and its needs to be taken out, cleaned and greased.

Lol and I havent even had a moment (in daylight at that) to get a chance to go over everything lol...

right now, i wouldnt have the damnest as far as HP goes... a base S4 13b put out 160hp...im guessing that w/ the S5 internals it might be putting out a bit more but thats just speculation. Im not looking for huge HP numbers so its all good

And I'll be starting up a journal.

Oh, also forgot to mention, A/C system is not there, w00t! I was gonna do that myself anyways lol

No it's not that one, I didn't even see that one. Is it the one with the aftermarket black wheels? I found my in the trader, it's a bit more than I would like to pay, but I wouldn't have to do a thing to it, the owner took good care of it. Hopefully I'll have some pics up tomorrow.

ahem, S4 NA 13B rates at 140hp.... S5 NA is 160hp... figure somewhere in between since yours is still rev-limited to 7000rpm
