2007 5 GT "thing 5"
We sold our 2007 in 2015 and purchased a Jeep Patriot. We drove that since, and now we are looking at trading it in on 2017 5 locally with 147k on it. The jeep is constantly having issues now and it's time to move it on for something reliable again. Our last 5 served us well. We love the car and hopfully can work a deal for the new 5.

Stay tuned to see if we get it. IF we do, mods to come are the bayson R stuff , wheels, android car audio and some lighting upgrades. We shall see soon. I am going to take it for a test drive this morning.

Never know anyone owning a jeep that wasn't plauged by problems, basic mechanic and electrical stuff too. Having a reliable car will be a welcome relief. Good luck on the test drive!

Yep. I had one reliable jeep. 2011 JK unlimited. Well it was reliable after I replaced all the junk parts on it. Ha ha. I have a 2016 F150 FX4 all it has needed was a new base pan and transmission line from the amazing salt roads we have here in Newfoundland. The truck has 205k on the clock and purrs like a kitten. Every dodge / jeep / Chrysler product we have had was absolute garbage.

Our Mazda 5 lost its transmission at 97,000km in 2014. Other than that it was extremely reliable. Had an issue with the belts but that was the dumb ass mechanic at our dealership back in the day. Brought the car in for a squealing belt when the AC turned on, 5 times tried to diagnose it. I finally said replace the friggin belt. He replaced the alternator side instead. Once the correct belt was replaced, it worked fine for the rest of the life of the car.

Back from the test drive. Jeep is traded, loan approved. and we are the owners of an awesome 2017 5 GS. 147,000km on it and we have 4 years warranty as well. So while we are paying it off we have full warranty.
