weird RPM??

im confusing now.... a week ago my rpm is bouncing around 1400rpm-800rpm when i put into neutral after high speed. this week the RPM stay at around 1200 and it dropped to 800-900rpm when stop after high speed(it only happened in higher speed like 60 mph or higher)??feels like so much pressure in the exhaust? engine light is on with 2 codes, p2187 and i dunno what the other one is(couldnt check it). other than that car drives normal no boost leak. anybody had experienced this be4?? my mods r SRI, BOV,TIP, CATTLESS DP/RP AND 2 RESONATOR REMOVED.

What BOV are you running and how is it configured?

im running with SYNAPSE BOV, i never have any problem with it be4 ....

Its a BPV not a BOV. I use that one aswell and no problem at all save the fact i have to change the vac line every years because of them wearing on the plastic tingly around. Make sure you get both code read. It may be not mod related.

both codes r p2187(dunno y), i did put the OEM BPV back in but still doing the same thing. just recieved the silicone vacuum line, im gonna get rid if the clear auto zone vacuum line see if gonna fix..(hopefully)...by the way how to clean map sensor(sorry im newbie)?

I'm not sure if this is related at all or if it even helps but figured you could try it. I use to drive one of those new Mitsubishi Lancers and was having the same problem, my RPM neddle would bounce when I stopped or was slowing down and it was very annoying. Come to find out that I had a faulty "MAS" (Mass airflow sensor) ((I made up that acronym, not sure if its right)).

The replaced it and it fixed the issue. I know they are completely different set ups and cars but figured anything may help. Good luck.

I totally lied!!!!! This was an issue I had mith my MS3. I was laying in bed and it hit me and I feel like a fool! now everyone knows I drove a lancer hahah

But yea, that was the issue with mine when I has the RPM needle bouncing and they relaced it for free and everything.

Have you washed your engine bay? Maybe water is messin with something. This happened to my VW years back.

clean ur MAF, my beauner MAS was close hha but its MAF,

but yeah go to autozone and pick up MAF cleaner, pull ur MAF out and if the little ball thing hanging down is black that def could be the problem, they are supposed to be an amber color, so just spray the s*** outta it with the MAF cleaner till its amber.

def worth a try and its always good to clean it every once ina while

good suggestion matt. I forgot about the MAF. If you have a CAI your MAF gets pretty dirty and should be cleaned every 6 months to a year IMO.
