So i installed my INJEN AIR INTAKE with my step-dad last night.... It had all gone pretty smooth, until i started to drive the car. I want to know if any of you that had installed an air intake, heard the gobble noise muffled and really loud. It's so noticable, that i think something might be wrong.... Did you all install a BOV before installing the intake? Whats goin on with my car?

:bs: :bs: :wtf: :bs: :wtf: :wtf: :bs: :bs:

yeah, it goes gobble gobble... like a........turkey lol.. But, what im sayin is, that you can hear the air goin through REALLY loud, and then all of the sudden... when you shift it gets loud and then muffles out at the end.... kinda weird... id unno... dyno testing maybe?

^^^^ Search for turkey...You will get 15,353 Posts on the subject. It's a quality of the MSP By-Pass valve.

LOL!! gobble, gobble!!! classic. make a vid, i need a good laugh. o yeah like brian said, its the bypass valve.

it actually isnt the bypass valve. it is wastegate flutter. that is why when people install an hks you still get it (actually some people dont get it anymore, but they install it right)

Yeah, the injen is just really loud in general. I thought there was something wrong when I first put it on, but now that I've heard other poeple's turbo cars I realize it's normal. I think that sound is just the turbo "cutting" the air coming into it, or wastegate flutter like jonnydoe48 said. Sounds like your car is gasping doesn't it? Just check all your hose clamps again and make sure nothing came loose. It will make noise on it's own, but REALLY loud noise isn't normal(usually a loose hose). If all the hoses are attached, it's normal.

i wanna scare people w/ my turkey...someone ship me a cheap ebay cone filter for my car !
