Weird Noise Need Help

Okay Guys Ive been getting this weird noise for a few weeks now. It sounds like if you took a file and filed down a piece of steel or something of that nature. It only happens under acceleration and the car seems to be falling on its face but still gradually gaining speed. I also smelled clutch today so do you guys think my clutch is done? Ive got almost 60,000 miles on the car. Oh i also had my trans replaced back in august wouldnt the tech let me know if the clutch was worn? Any help would be nice

Noise is coming from the drivers side engine bay.

Pop the hood, and rev the motor by hand at the throttle. IF you hear the noise from in front of the engine, it could be the turbo grinding itself due to bad bearings.

To check the clutch, from a dead stop, put the ebrake on, put the car into 2nd, give it gas and if the engine revs up, your clutch is slipping.

yep, my old turbo use to Chirp like a cricket... Basically metal be grinded or rubbing, but it did it so fast it made a sound like when crickets are chirping...
