Just picked up a 2005 Mazda3 hatch the other day.
Not my first Mazda, I've had a 2000 Miata, a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege, a 2009 RX-8, and now this one.
When I first went to fill the tank on this hatch, I noticed there's a weird metal tab in the filler neck. It isn't on a hinge, and it's kinda bent.
I can't really figure out what it's for. Since it doesn't come down, I figured it wasn't a little filler neck "seal" or anything like that.
Lame question, and probably pretty obvious, can anyone help me out? What does it do?
