that wouldnt reduce weight because you still have the battery in your car, only thing that does is clean up the engine bay
it would add weight with the longer cables, hardware, and enclosure, but would benefit handling with better weight balance

The hood could be switched for a cf hood, that'd save at least 20 lbs
a lightweight battery could be swapped out- about 15 lbs
some aftermarket parts like a turboback and the manifolds could be replaced and that could save qutie a bit of weight
rims and tires could save close to 40 total.
That's close to 100 lbs right there. Thats without removing the spare and all of that.
I don't know if it would. Our vehicle is actually sort of dependent on the weight over the front end. It provides grip for hard launches, grip for breaking, grip for turning, and it keeps the ass end light enough that we can induce oversteer on the track if you're smart about it.Yeah, I was also looking into evenly balancing the car. Thought that would help.

If we move enough weight back, we won't launch as well, brake as well, and a more even weight balance in the rear will actually affect our ability to off-throttle oversteer. We're front wheel drive, after all, and there are actually some advantages to having weight in the front for us.
If I was going to lighten this car, I'd want to do it front and rear at roughly the same rate.
im still debating if i should take out the spare/tools from the back.... if i do does anyone know how to make the base not soo lumpy with the tire gone?
Why would you want to do that? For weight reduction?? lol. What happens when you get a flat?
call triple a (attn)
triple a is free right?
Yeah but you gotta sit there a wait w / thump up your arse until they get there..
do they give u spare tire free or just tow it somewhere lol...
never have once gotten a flat tire on the road or ever called triple a (thumb)
I took out the tie down eyelet it would only be needed if the car get stuck off road if that happens your screwed anyway if I go the the track the spare will get ditchedim still debating if i should take out the spare/tools from the back.... if i do does anyone know how to make the base not soo lumpy with the tire gone?
