while still having the induction vents for the TMIC.

ANY TAKERS?

I swear the hood on these ms3's weighs like 50 pounds.

I'd like to have a hood like this.

I believe it was custom made but, it sure is kick ass looking.

Its aggressive as hell but, something like it would be nice.

sweet jesus! that screams "OMFG RACE ME I HAVE A HUGE GOD DAMN TURBOOO" thats a little too out there..

still an original design though.

Lol.. um no. Its functional and maybe a little more absurd than the STi or Evo design. The only reason those hood scoops look good is cuz those cars are rice looking as it is. I know if I didn't have the HUGE wing on my STi.. just having that scoop looks dumb as hell.

To each their own though. Course JUST having that hood would look dumb but w/e.

I think the MS3 does need some kind of ram air or something.. or a FMIC

if you keep the TMIC it needs a scoop.. I dont think the design mazda came up with is very effecient. I dont really know as im not an engineer.. just a minor tech. :)

No TMIC is efficient when stopped. Heatsoak sucks.. If I can't find a nice fitting hood with a scoop in it i'll have to get a CO2 kit for the summer when sitting at a redlight causes heatsoak.

To be honest i disagree with the Rice statement about the EVO, i think it has a more Euro look to it than most other asian cars...and they sure as hell arent rice when it comes to performance...though you could do what a lot of people did in my MKIII forum... get a sprinter vent from a junk yard (one of those really tall like dodge vans) from the quarter panel and do some custom body work and then you have a nice inlet right to the engine bay...

dont know how well itll work with these cars seeing as how I dont own mine yet and its not a speed...sooo

just a thought...

hm.. I cant seem to find a picture of this...

I found tons of pictures of the sprinter van.. but I dont see any vents on it.

CO2 kit ftw! My friend and I were talking about doing this to my car, much cheaper than fmic and can still keep a sleeper look

Its also really cool when sitting at a red light and all the mist from the CO2 drifts out of the hood and down the sides of your fenders :D

haha yeah, slap a vented hood on there it would look reallly cool. Cheap and efficient mod if u know what ur doing... nice way to keep ur car running like its 10 degrees outside in the middle of summer

Does anyone have any preferences on which company they would like their hoods to be? I contacted VIS to see if they had anything going on in the near future. I'll let ya'll know when I hear back from them.

pretty much any of the usual ones.. they all had good quality. Something with a decent ducting system that wont just dump water everywhere on the engine. the 3 has alot of electronics up top..
