waxing

i use mothers and i have not found anythng better my paint looks like its glowing when it is clean. i have used everything like 3m hand glaze and all that type of stuff( i do custom painting and airbrushing ). you want a nice shine get a nice high quality buffer ad some 3m polishing compound use that and finsish it of with a nice carnuba wax, then just wax it every couple of weeks. and your paint will look like glass.

oh if you get a buffer make sure it is low speed so you wont burn the paint

No way will I use a buffer on my Black Mica MAZDASPEED!! I will leave that to pros that know how to use one. It will be a handjob!! roflmao (rofl) (rofl)

eMKay you humor me.... Zaino is not easy to install if you do all the steps. Way more difficult than traditional waxing with the claybar etc. As for using an orbital it is recommended that you do NOT use one with Zaino. I've used almost all the systems out there and I assure you I've yet to see anything that compares to Zaino. DOes it protect paint? Yes, it's been almost a year now since its been on my Cobra and if you spray it with water the water slides off immediately. You will take this guys advice then when you see my car you will regret your decision. I guarantee it...

Do yourselves a favor and check out Zainobros.com for more info or check out almost any other auto forum out there and they will tell you what I'm telling you.

This is off their website and it is so true.

yeah forgive me about calling the Zaino a carnuba wax. at 3 in the morning and almost hitting a dear coming up my road i was a little tired. i don't claim to know everything due to fact that i've only been doing this since i was 16 and am now 21. i've cleaned many cars throughout those years and alot of them have been repeat customers. so i've got to be doing something right. granted i only charge $75 for about 5 or so hours of my time but hey, doing it part time and by myself doesn't leave me alot of room to work with. i use the less expensive waxes because they tend to dry quicker and aren't too bad at removing once they dry. when i'm doing somebody's car i don't want to be waiting around forever for something to dry(like zaino) so i use the meguirs and others. don't get em wrong the zaino is sooooo friggen easy to apply and remove it just takes a little longer.

i've never heard one bad thing about ZAINO in all the years i've been doing this. well wait, the only thing i've heard is that it kinda sucks to track down because you have to order it unless you can find a local distributer which there aren't any around here and i usually don't want to wait for my cleaning stuff to come in to clean my car. but thats just me. i don't know what Emkay has against the stuff but if you look around on here or the internet you'll find he's about the only one who's against the stuff for whatever reason.

Greg: I used to use the Meguiars 3 step wax on my 300zx and it's a nice wax. Does a good job.

But I bought the Zaino's because I have a black mica Mazdaspeed and this stuff is GREAT on black. I got the Z2 with the FX accelerator because I don't want to wait 24 hours to put on a second coat. I also got the Z5 because it takes out any swirls on black (very fine polishing agent added...supposed to take 3 coats to get out swirls, but that's good because it won't add any of it's own swirls). The Z2 doesn't like to be put on when it's cold out (below 50 degrees F); it takes longer to set up and be ready to wipe off. What I really loved about the Zaino is it's perfectly clear going on and coming off. NO chasing white particles with a Q tip in any crevices like with the Meguiars.

AND the car looks wonderful with the Zaino on it. Just my experience...first time user of the Zaino Z2. But I'm happy...VERY happy with the results. Oh, and when you use it, follow the instructions and use tiny amounts of it. This stuff goes a LONG way.

i wonder if it hurt that nail when you hit it right on the head with that statement. this is another great reason i'm going to use the Zaino products on my personel cars. the set up and removal is the only thing keeping me from using it on customers cars. i could apply severa coats of other various products such as the meguirs body scrub and polish and wax in the amount of time i'd leave 1 coat of Zaino on. now for me leaving the car in the garage for the day on a weekend when i don't have any pressing issues isn't a big deal. i can throw a coat of Zaino on there and putz around doing other various things with the car. wipe off. apply their version of the quick detailer which is suppose to add a 3D look to the Zaino and then apply another coat and go take a nap. come back out a couple hours later and remove and spray again. woks wonders.

if your going to spend money on cleaning products go out on a limb and order some. you won't be dissapointed, i promise. everybody so far seems to have rave reviews about it. go on some other boards and track down pictures of cars that have used Zaino products. i know i've seen some spectacular looking supra's on their forum after a day or cleaning:cool:

I've used Meguiars, Zymol and Zaino. Zaino definitely is THE BEST wax I have ever used. Unfortunately, I didn't claybar it and now I need to take off the 10-20 coats of wax I put on in the past 3 months. All I can tell you is that it's easy to use, lasts a whole lot longer than Zymol, and the more coats you put on, the deeper and more beautiful of a color you will have. I have never seen a wax produce a mirror-like reflection off of a car. Try Zaino and make sure you claybar your car before you wax or you will end up like what I am planning to do tomorrow. I will GUARANTEE you that you will not regret using Zaino.
